I seem to have some problem with thane in mass effect 3, i imported my ME2 save, for which i had a pretty good ending, 10 or more characters survived, whole crew, no Wrex or Kaiden but i don't remember Thane krios dieing. Apparently he has though, he is listed on the lost crew members board along with Wrex but i have recieved an email from him, i mean i didn't know they had email in the afterlife but he asked me to meet him in the citadel in the hospital, to which i couldn't find him?! Very confused can any explain where thane has gone, he had class.

Have you gone to the Citadel to see if he's there? If he is, then it could just be a bug limited to the display on the memorial.

like i said, i couldn't find him there. It could just be my bad looking skills but i don't know. Is there a way to check in the save file?

He can be found at the hospital, on the left side in front of the window shadow boxing

So his name is on the memorial wall on the Normandy yet he's sending you emails? Could be a bug. How far are you in the story? If its after the cerberus attack on the citadel then Thane should be dead so in this case your reading an old email that you just didn't notice until now, maybe? Though I'm not sure that should be  the case - is reading the email actually a prerequisite for Thane showing up shadow boxing in the hospital? Mike would probably know this one.

 

Depending on what platform you're playing on you could check the gamesave using the gibbed ME3 save editor

 

Or find the gibbed ME2 save editor and check your import file to see if Thane is flagged as dead or alive. Or just load the ME2 import save up in ME2 and check to see if he's on the ship. ME2 lets you play after the final mission, unlike ME3. So if he's dead he shouldn't be there.
