Alright, I just completed the Abyss quest, and was wondering how far until the end...assuming I stay on crit path (which I won't, but I am curious).
Again, no spoilers please! Just some numbers! Fractions ![]()

you are midway through the game
^ I think it's a bit more than midway. You have 4 more main quests to go. The last two are pretty quick though, like 15 minutes each.
Unique main quests? Or just steps? Like Abyss had 10 steps or what not.
Will it be different named quest?
what pinkytwist is probably getting at is there are 4 major chunks left, one of which "wicked eyes and wicked hearts" is huge, i was at around 60 hours at your point and i finished in 110 hours with only 65% of quests done. fret not, loads still to go

Wicked Eyes and Wicked Hearts, which is the one after Abyss, is big because you have lots of exploring to do in that particular place. I'd say no more than 2 hours to complete it, although that depends from person to person obviously. The one after that is also one or two hours long, also one particular place where you'll have to explore your way through. The last two though, are super short. It's just "go here and do the thing". So no, they're not like Here Lies The Abyss where you had different quests inside it and had to go to different places.
Um, no. Wicked eyes and hearts is BEFORE Abyss.
I already started What Pride Has Brought, and it seems like it is the end.
Am I being fooled? Do I still have time to do side stuff after this quest? And I do not mean AFTER the main story, like open-ended or what not. I want to do more side stuff before ending the game.
The last quest will explicitly say, "End of Game: Finish other content before proceeding."
Thank you, that's all I needed to know.
Actually, you can do them in any order you want. Most do Abyss first because it takes less power and has a lower suggested level than Wicked Eyes.Um, no. Wicked eyes and hearts is BEFORE Abyss.
You're not close but trust me. It's worth taking the time to do side quests. As hard as it may be ignore the main story for a while and go off to do good (or bad) in the world, hunt down some dragons, complete some side quests. It's worth it and you won't be heading into any battles low level, getting owned by all enemies.

Actually you can do it before or after, but most do it after Abyss. In that case if you're at the Arbor Wilds then you're nearly at the end but you can still do side quests after that. And like someone said, you will know when it's the very last quest.
Thank you, that's all I needed to know.
Hey, you asked for numbers, I gave you numbers, dammit! lol ![]()

So far in my 70 hours of travels, I havn't found one instance where I could 'do bad'.
Thanks for the info guys. I had the Abyss and Wicked Hearts sitting on my war table ready to go for about 30 hours of gameplay, and had forgotten which one I unlocked first. Did wicked hearts last week, and started Abyss last night. I guess I'll wait and see what unlocks next, but get back to sidequesting a lot.
