Safe, it seems. The performance of the game in my computer is worse now that I have the hotfix, but the shiny hair, the error with complexions, the lack of scars and all those visual issues are gone, while keeping the good things such as the very welcome improvement in the search mechanic.
Hotfix for Patch 2 is Up (PC)

The graphics are ok now, but Im having lots of crashes...
This sounds like your computer, not the game. Ive played 30 hours and not one crash and after hotfix im running 60 fps without dropping

Had issues with performance with the patch 9which I didn't have before the patch...had my first CTD), did the hotfix last night and wow....graphics issues fixed, and it runs smoothly again.

odd I downloaded it in seconds and I'm watching a 1080 stream at the same time, with an okayish connection 25mbps

Nice work, no crash whatsoever and hairs seem to have lost their shine (which wasn't that hard on the eyes in my case).

I re-enabled SLI and have not seen any more flashing textures.
