I've seen so much hate for a lot of them, but I personally love them all!

Are there things I don't like about them? Sure. But that won't make me hate them forever wish they never existed. Sounds extreme, but I've heard that kind of thing around the inter webs.

Its all personal opinion, of course. I can understand why certain people are hated, though. Makes sense.

Anyway, does anyone else like them all? I'm curious.

I thought they were all great ^_^ Sure, I like some better than others and for different reasons, but that doesn't mean that any of them deserve hate

Like as in thinking they were all well done? Yes. Like as in wanting to take them all everywhere with me and spend lots of time with them? No. I could definitely pass on Sera and Vivienne for that, but they were each well defined and written. I knew who they were all right, I just wasn't fond of it.

Yeah I like them all! One bores me to death though and I never speak with her - and that's Josephine. I dunno, man. Maybe it's the accent... But I still like her.

I think they're all interesting and that's the important thing. Do I wish some weren't in the game? Absolutely not. Are some of them frustrating? You bet, lol.

I like everyone at very least, and I adore most of them.  DA2 is probably still my favorite BioWare cast for the sheer amount of bonkers, but it's nice to have a cast that's for the most part a bit more mature and sane.

Pretty much like all of them (but Sera can get on my nerves a tad).

Like advisors? I don't - Cullen is still the pebble in my shoe. Third DA game and I still can't kill him. :pinched:

With the exception of Dorian (cliche storm!) I thought they were all pretty well done and I could appreciate their merits. Even Sera, to an extent.

Same here. I like all the companions though Dorian can be very obnoxious and Sera can be a bit batty. Still, they're alright in small doses.

They were all pretty well done, i just had an issue with viviene...  It just seems like they didnt put in a lot of dialogue to talk to her about....  i mean, i now know nothing more than when we heard her character description before the game was released... albeit one minor detail, but whos counting...  We learned a ton from solas, talked some shop from iron bull and got some insight into the qunari, we learned about what happened after da2 from varric, we went on the drug trip that is sera, and now that i think about it, blackwall was kind of boring in his non cutscene conversations....  but viviene was just... idk, bland... circle this circle that, repeat for all the other questions we could ask her....  she was only good in her banter with bull....  other than that, i liked them all

There are one or two that I like a little less than others, and some that I absolutely adore to no end, but yes, I like them all. As I find myself coming to understand each character, I can't help but like them even if they aren't a favorite. They become family. Maybe you don't always agree, and sometimes things they do or say make you roll your eyes, but you still love them. I'm a sucker for all the Dragon Age (and ME) companions, though.

I think they're collectively my favourite bunch of characters in any BioWare game, and that's saying a lot.

This is the only game in the franchise where I've liked all the characters; in each of the previous games there was at least one I severely hated.  Blackwall doesn't like me, and Vivienne is a rich ******, but I still like their characters; whereas I hated Anders in DA2 (he was much better in DA:A).

I'm in the same boat. There might be some individual characters from previous games that I prefer over their DA:I equivalent, but if compared as a whole this is my favorite bunch in the DA series so far.

Definitely my favorite cast, but it might be because I feel like the sheer amount of dialogue/storylines for each companion outweighed almost all other Bioware games I've played. This was one of the few games where i never talked to all the companions when i want back to the base. Not because they were boring, but because you could have a 10 minute conversation with one companion and still have a crap ton of dialogue left. I really felt like thsi helped the exploration aspect as well since I never ran out of dialogue (outside of cassandra/solas who i bothered incessantly), and i am now finding ouit i missed a lot of scenes with companions.

Let me put it to you this way: I don't dislike anyone. The problem is, the way the story unfolds, I feel detached from everyone. There's an invisible wall between me and the Inquisition members. Sure, everyone has interesting personalities and all, but I can't feel myself really connect with anyone beyond the "lecture on my point of view" and "help me undertake this quest when you have time" kind of setup. I wish there was more gripping drama and suspense that elevated the sense of urgency and camaraderie. That would make me feel closer to my companions and advisers.

I might like some of them more than the other, but all in all, I like all of them. My quizzie pretty much bro with all advisors and companions and I love all the party banter.

It really is fascinating to see how far Bioware have come in terms of character design and interaction, from the Baldurs Gate days. Comparing Cass and Cullen to Jaheira and Anomen (ugh) is like night and day. On the non-romantic side, Garrus and Tali are two of the most iconic bros (non-gender-specific usage here) in gaming, and Varric and Cass aren't far behind. Every game just seems to get better.

I like them all. Not equally, of course, but I did enjoy what they brought to the game.

I can't say as I like them all, and indeed there are a few I actively dislike - Vivienne and Cole, specifically - but I'll say this; I appreciate them all for the perspective they bring to the game, even if I don't like them personally.

Yup. There are qualities that I dislike about all of them except for maybe Cassandra and Solas (because I haven't found those qualities yet), but on whole I don't dislike any of them.
