Allright so some questions that I was hoping the community might have a couple answers to. Masterwork Schematic farming. I know of the chest trick but what about for the actual items not the upgrades?

 

1. Does anyone know of a reliable place to farm for Masterwork weapon and armor schematics? Is there anything higher than the rare (blue) Masterwork schematics?

 

2. Are tier 4 materials farmable? Or are they dragon only drops? Can dragons drop fade touched versions of their materials?

 

3. Does anyone know how the Short List Inquisition perk works? It seems that time and date do not effect it. Perhaps amount of time played or loading different zones does? I have next to no clue.

1. T3 Masterwork are the highest, Sulviens Cradle is the most convient slot, anywhere where lvl 3 chests drop works.

 

2. Only from Dragons, I don't think they drop fade touched, they drop dragons teeth which give 40% chance for 10% stat boost.

 

3. it's loading zones, an orange star will appear above the item group to show you that a perk item is avalible (unless that's another perk I picked up). However I think there is a limit to the number of items you can purchase before the vendor drops off rotation. For example I picked up 2 masterwork T3 schematics from the Hissing Waste Vendor, I've not seen a single T3 special even after dozens of visits

I was under the impression that you could only receive Masterwork upgrades from the Sulvien Cradle chests.

 

Everything else clears a lot up thank you.

Nope. Cradle drops every t3 schematic that's in the loot table. Did probably 20 runs there yesterday. Got all the armor and weapon schematics I wanted plus a ton of t3 materials and over 24k gold.

I have a few questions. 

 

1. which merchants sell t3 schematics? Is it only the dog vendor and the merchant in Emprise du Lion? What about Bonnie Sims or any of the vendors in Val Royeaux? 

 

2. Is it possible to loot the same schematic that a merchant sells? If this is the case and you manage to loot said schematic does that schematic disappear from the merchant's store?

hmm i never got and t3 masterwork schematics of the actual armor/weapons, ust t3 masterwork upgrades from Cradle.
