Dialogue traps, a timed dungeon and I'm forced to play "their" game "their" way (stupid annoying Orlesians!). I never had any issue with any fade levels in DAO but this has to be the brain child of someone whom just enjoys the implementation of a section of gameplay that operates as complete reversal of the established gameplay where you have go at your own pace exploration and dialogue options that don't result in utter failure. I mean your character's dialogue cannot be a true representation of him/herself which makes the whole thing beyond annoying. Heck I just walked in and lost 10 pts for being a Dwarf.
wicked eyes/hearts is million times worst than the Hated DAO Fade

I thought it was 20 points for being a Dwarf? Or did I lose another 10 points for some unknown reason?
I"m kinda torn on this one. I like that they tried to come up with a different kind of mission, more political and less combat. But the timed part kept messing me up.
As for DA:O Fade part, that was one thing that made me wish I was a PC gamer so I could get a mod to skip it.

Wicked Hearts made me save every two steps and I have quit and reloaded too many times to count. I had to stop and I don't think I'm even 17% through it.

I ended that quest wishing I could have trapped all three of the the idiots in the castle and set fire to it.
Or simply lead them all to a darkspawn hole and let the zombies at them.
I mean, your planet is filled with zombies, and you are here playing games and wasting resources?

I couldn't disagree more. This is one of my favorite missions. Quite a bit more interesting than "Kill everything until you get to the end". Court approval is easy to get. The bad part is being limited in the time you can explore, but otherwise this is an excellent mission.

Between the coins and dialogue, it's pretty easy to stay above 90. The dance with Florianne can give you like 30 approval. Being late for the bell gives you 10 approval each, and this happens twice. It's my favorite mission 8> The soundtrack gives the ball an air of mystery and danger.

I couldn't disagree more. Wicked Eyes and Wicket Hearts was one of the best main quests in the entire series.
I hope from this point forward we have at least one mission per game that is similar. We need at least one that is about scheming and politcking and not just about going off into some cave to stab something.

I'll bet there will be a mod that removes losing pts for dialogue and/or taking too long in the "danger zone"

The only thing I disliked about it was the "timer" that caused you to lose reputation with the Orlesian court if you wandered off for too long. It went completely against the entire purpose of the game (ie. open ended exploration at your own pace) and made me feel like I had to rush through the various "off limits" areas.
Losing reputation points because of poor dialogue choices, I didn't have an issue with.

You just need to be coy, its not hard to learn 'The Game.' Just simply don't declare anything and when possible, answer every question with another question.

Shoot, even as a Qunari mage, starting off with thirty approval and gaining only roughly half the approval that my human PCs did - four versus seven approval during the dance, not sure if other approval things were effected - I still didn't have any issues at having one-hundred approval at the end of the night. And I took my sweet time exploring areas.
The key is to always be vague in your dialogue options, keep enough halla statues to open the door to Celene's chamber, and turn in all the secret gossip you can to Leliana before you explore the royal apartments.
Even if your approval is already at one-hundred, just do it. The approval rating can actually raise higher than that, and thus buy you more time.

To continue off of this, many secrets and caprice coins do not show up on the search meter until AFTER the Royal Wing is opened. If you ever run low on approval, especially after opening Celene's door and blackmailing the man inside to help you speak out against her, go back to the areas you've previously been (except the servant's quarters) and spam the search button like there is no tomorrow. You'll find at least five secrets and several more caprice coins this way. Each caprice coin is worth one approval at the fountain, so use them wisely.
Another trick, bouncing off above, is when dancing with Florienne only pick the middle options - and whenever you see someone who you can talk to in the palace keep going back to them as your Approval goes higher. Sometimes they'll have more to talk about and it can net you even more!

Oh ****. I didn't even know you could leave the royal wing before actually clearing the area.

It doesn't seem like you'd be able to, but you need to if your approval tanks while in there. They were kind of jerks with how much is gated behind that part of the quest opening. ): I have the guide and they show were a lot of secrets and coins are, and I kept spamming search the first time only to realize 'wait, these aren't dropping until now... Crap!'.

I mostly spammed the, 'Can we dance?' dialogue option with Dorian, just so I could giggle about him talking about dancing with silks to stun the nobility. Am smartest, AND I have the best priorities! (I will not mention how many times I typed 'smartest' wrong. It would pain me.)

Less frustrating, actually, since you now know where the statues are, and the fastest path through the areas you're not supposed to be. Also you now know you can afford to lose 20 points before the dance with the duchess, because you can gain 20-30 points there.
As for the dialogue, you know what you're in for. I lost points in one dialogue choice in my first playthrough, so that worked really well.
