Hello guys!

Just wondering if any of you have had this issue and could give me some advice on how to solve it.

A week or two ago I'd been having issues to upload my Warden to the Keep, but I eventually managed to do it and eveything was rainbows and cookies. I chose all my decisions in the keep and had my custom characters loaded in the Default World slate and everything, so I went ahead and clicked on Export to Dragon Age Inquisition. I made no other wolrd slates, as this is the only one I was interested in. Though I did not know about the lock world slate thingy so I didn't do it.

Well even after I finished doing all that I didn't get to playing the game right away. I started playing a few days after that and didn't log into my keep either during that time. The desire to play the game finally came so I started my brand new playthrough and imported my default save from the keep and got about 20 hours of gameplay so far.

Today I decided to check, just out of curiosity, if my keep was still doing fine. And Oh Surprise! My Default World slate had changed! My decisions were intact, and my custom Hawke too, but suddenly my beloved Warden was no more and in her place there was one of the defaults! I tried checking the heroes and now my Warden doesn't even come up in the keep.

I fear that I might've uploaded the World slate as it is in my Inquisition game and now the Warden they'll be talking about will not be mine, but that damn (sorry nothing personal) Elissa Cousland.

So the thing is, I did click on Export to Inquisition before all this mess, but when I started to play a few days later (not knowing if the Warden had been already changed or not in the keep as I did not check that until a week later) and I confirmed in-game to import the world slate I've chosen previously... Did it actually save my original Export (where everything was ok) or did it take the one with the default Cousland that the keep had changed during those days?

I'm sorry for the long rambling. I just wish I don't have to play the game all over again and have those 20 hours go down the drain (because I'm kind of a perfectionist and I will start over if my baby Cousland was not the one imported).

So any advice you guys? I will be forever in your debt if you can answer that question for me :)

Hugs!  :D

The game ignores custom wardens and Hawkes.

Actually, what the game takes from those custom characters are their race, class and the name. I know that it really wouldn't affect the decisions I took with them in my playthroughs (as I recreate them inside the keep) just wish that the world slate that I exported had both my characters in it and not some default the keep chose.

So anyone has an answer for my original question?

Did it actually save my original Export (where everything was ok) or did it take the one with the default Cousland that the keep had changed during those days?

The game took your export. Which unless you deleted it is saved on the keep.

The keep just doesnt use the custom wardens and instead goes to the default ones when showing up as a play through worldstate. The game ignores any data about the name and avatar.

What was hard to understand? ...

From what it sounds like your world state in the keep bugged some how and changed your custom to default at some point. That should be submitted in the Keep feedback.

What Kantr was trying to say is it doesn't matter if your warden was custom or default, DA:I doesn't acknowledge the custom characters and will automatically change them to default in the playthought state section of the Keep.

Check the world state section of the Keep (left side menu) and there are two sections called editable states and playthought states. Your default world should be in the editable section, with a custom warden and hawke. Look in the playthought states section and you'll see a game copy of your world state that includes your inquisitor. Clicking on it will show your inquisitor along with default versions of your characters meaning your custom characters were never exported (and never will be for anyone)

So even if you exported a default warden it doesn't matter. Your game is fine and you don't need to restart.

Oh I see now!

Alright thanks so much for explaining. I had no idea it worked like that.

I appreciate the help! Thanks a lot :)
