So. Romancing Solas for second playthrough. And I take him everywhere.

I'm in the Fade now (here lies the abyss) and Nightmare is taunting Solas. But it's all in Elvish! Anybody got a transcript?!

Or if you've already done all the work, what do they say? I'm very interested.

You do realize that you're going into some heavy spoilers with that translation?

It's not even fully translated.

He's also on his second playthrough, so I think he's already "spoiled".

Here is what has been translated:

Dirth ma, harellan- Tell me, trickster or traitor..

Ma banal enasalin. Mar solas ena mar din- are you greatful to be able to whitstand your loss...perhaps or pride, i d say loss
Solas responds: , banal nadas, which means nothing is certain

Oooh! That's really cool! Thanks, Robram10! That's definately a spoiler. Or. I guess, foreshadowing.

Where did you find the translation btw? And can we discuss it further here or do I need to go to the spoiler scuttlebutt?

Has anyone translated what he says to his friend in his personal quest?

That was translated for you if you were an elf if I recall correctly.

Not for me

Did you not have subtitles on? It's only translated in the subtitles.

I take screenshots of everything so I can type out what they were saying if no one else does, but it'll take about 12 hours (I'm at work right now). >_>

For me Elven subtitles appear in Elven, I am almost certain of it.

They should have been translated, unless that was an unintended bug.

Most do (IIRC), but for that particular quest (All New, Faded for Her) the conversation between Solas and his friend had translated subtitles.

Even today I started a new elf and had to look up the translation for ir abelas.

They were not translated for me either in my first run. In my second playthorugh they were in english, maybe it's the history perk? Didn't have it the first time.

The elvish everywhere else is not translated.

That may be it, I always pick up the codex perks even though I don't use the options for certain characters.

I've seen the fade dialogue translated a number of ways. Here's another (from tumblr).

Nightmare: Tell me blood-traitor. Was your sacrifice for nothing? Your pride will bring their death.
Solas: Nothing is inevitable.

I hope Patrick Weekes releases the actual translations for the various Elven dialogues at some point.
