Hey wassup everybody,

 

I'm playing a psychomancian, currently lvl 14, my gear is the rare one that you can craft, and i've been lucky, i have the 2 hand epic axe lvl 21, with runes etc i have 305 dps on it, so the damage are actually really awesome, but, i dont know why i keep getting one shotted or 2 shotted, by archer or every single ennemies, is it normal ? 

 

It seems that this class is really good for burst, but i keep dying and it's really boring, even my archer can tank more than the psychomancian, and i reached a point that im wondering if im ever going to play this class again until they buff the armor / life on it.

 

So yeah, i was just wondering if i was the only one in this case or... because no matter what you do, if you take like 2 hit by a single low ennemie you instantly die...

 

Is there something that i missed in the skills ? and i also see that there is a lot of skill that " taunt " the ennemies, but what's the point of taunting them if you are so weak ? 

 

If someone could explain a little bit more about this class it would be awesome ! cause i still want to play it since i looted that epic 2 hand axe

Are you trying to tank with two-handed warrior or do you have another tank in your party? As for taunts like Challenge and War Cry, they grant you guard to protect you from damage. There quite a few other skills that do as well. Check out the skill trees. Also, craft armor with + melee and ranged defense percent.

Sorry if I sound silly and such but.. what's a psychomancian?...

Check if any of your gear has the Berserker stat on it; that's usually the cause when your character suddenly starts inexplicably getting 1-shotted by everything.  Berserker is a 10% damage bonus but you take 100% more damage.

Not quite. Your defenses are reduced by 100%(or 200%.. or 300%). Which is a lot worse than just taking 100% more damage. That would be a total of 3 damage per hit on an optimized character. It's much worse when your defenses gets a flat out decrease.

Cudos to Bioware for making the worst stat i've ever seen even worse in practice.

 

Also what in samhell is a Psychomancian!? Is that a reaver or a magical psychologist?

LoL. Psychomancien is the french name for Reavers.

Hey guys, thanks for your anwers, yeah Rasande, this is the french name for Reaver lol, thought it was call psychomancian my bad ahah.

Anyway, yeah i think most of the time i was almost one shotted because they were no tank in the party and i guess there is a system of aggro or something like that so since the damage are crazy on the reaver with a 305dps weapon ennemies were focusing me.
