Makes me upset since I can play BF4 on Ultra + 4xmsaa and get no lag at all with my GTX 970. I really hope it's an optimization issue and will be fixed in the next few patches by both NVIDIA and Bioware.

That's because DA:I is a more graphical intense game. It might be driver issues for the 970 though that put it down.

What resolution is your monitor? Do you really need 4xMSAA? You may be able to get just as good an image with 2xMSAA + DSR, or even DSR and no AA. The game also has that post-process AA setting just above the MSAA if I recall correctly. There are many different combinations of settings that can produce a very pleasing image.

I think there's some hitches with 970 and Dragon Age. We can only hope nVidia is working on a driver update ![]()

I'm playing on 1920x1080, I don't know why but I have this OCD thing where I need to play a game at the highest AA setting. Whenever I play with msaa off or 2xmsaa I see myself switching the graphics settings more then I play the actual game. Really depressing.
You just have to accept the fact that this game is just too graphics intensive at 4xMSAA. Just turn it down to 2xMSAA. You'll save yourself pain when the game doesn't turn into a 20fps mess later on with 4xMSAA on.

Just wait till Nvidia make MFAA available for DAI ![]()
