It seems like Soldier's Peak  can have a few different outcomes.

Regardless of the outcome, there is a quest where you have to collect the "History" of the Keep.

I located all the History,  in the quest journal it says "You have found all the clues but where does it lead?"

In my codex I have studied all the history entries and for the life of me I can't find out where the clues lead.

I normally like to feel the satisfaction of figuring out difficult riddles on my own.  But I have long left the Keep and would like to know the location of the history ending so I can stop by one day and finalize it.

- Doing the demon's bidding and destroying the mage tower.

- Letting the mage continue his experiments with blood magic and destroying the demon portal.

- Destroying the demon portal but telling the mage he must stop doing experiments (or killing him afterwards)

- Killing the mage before destroying the demon portal.

I was just saying that regardless of which outcome you get, the History quest stays the same.  Someone else posted the answer in another thread so thats all I needed :).

Read the codex entries it tells you what you are looking for. It only appears after finding.and reading all four codex entries. They tell you what to look for and how to open the secret vault.

Where do you find the additional codex entries? I completed the Keep quest (or so I thought): I have access to the party storage, the mage is happily sequestered away off in the keep somehwere continuing his work, the two brothers are camped outside for conversation and vending... and the Keep itself is locked; I can't get back inside. Yet my journal tells me there's more to learn about the history of the Keep. Thanks for any tips!

Sorry buddy, you are out of luck if you finished the keep part already.

There are several locations - there is a statue outside - once you come up the path, take a hard left and head up toward the mine and past it, you'll see the statue overlooking the cliffs (I guess).

Once inside, you'll find various codex pages. There's also a bottle of Raspberry Jam which is important to this quest. In Avernus' tower, the last bit is a guy who is on some spikes or something on the far left wall.

Once you've done that, there's a large painting in one of the rooms in the Keep proper that will start to sparkle. Click on it, recite the Warden oath, and a chest will come out.

Unfortunately, the outcome for Warden's Keep is pretty static. You will close the demon portal no matter what. If you kill Sophia, it will force you to work with Avernus (and I suppose vice versa). Avernus can be allowed to live and work for you, but he never ends up producing anything. The ideal method in which to beat the Keep is most likely -

1. Persuade Sophia to work with you, but intend to kill her. Kill Avernus. Loot body.

2. Convince Sophia to tell you where the gold is. She will tell you after the demon portal fight. Then kill her. Loot her body.

3. Loot the wall "safe" with the gold. Loot the treasure chest for the quest from the codex entries.

Hey, thanks for the quick reply! these are great tips for a future run-through. Kind of a shame that, having cleaned up the Keep, I'm locked out of it. Kinda hoped it would be like that keep you could get back in NWN - not only a place to store stuff, but also a place to hang out, receive new quests, etc. That worked really well. But probably (?) more than we could expect in some DLC. Still... woulda been real nice!!

.. Plus, don' t know why I thought the Keep would continue to play a role for the Grey Wardens. Yet it might, Master Frodo, yet it might.
