Clearly nostalgia is clouding the judgement of people here. DAI is leaps and bounds better than DA:O or DA2. No game is perfect. Having to watch things be cut, or left incomplete hurts.... but that doesn't change in my mind, critically speaking (without diving into all the hows and whys), that DA:I is the best game in the series by far.

People can't enjoy Origins playstyle over DAIs? Personally, I hate the way DAI's combat plays, and that pretty much ruins it for me. No matter how good it looks, or how good the story is, the fact I don't enjoy playing it makes an inferior experience.

It's not nostalgia when many of us played it recently prior to Inquisition being launched. Anyway, results so far:
DAO - 61%
DA2 - 22%
DA:I - 17%
What I'm most surprised with so far is the amount of people who think Inquisition is worse than DA2.

I have to say it's:
1. Origin
2. DA2
3. DA:I
Origin may not have the best graphic among all 3 but it gets nearly everything right.
DA2 sucks on exploration, sucks on no tactical camera but I did enjoy the OP gameplay for awhile. Coz I am a working adult, I just want some relaxing game at that time.
Now DA:I, it has a superior graphic but the core part of a game - the GAMEPLAY. DA:I gameplay failed so badly. It also imposes so many restrictions. Not to mention the amount of BUGS, the time wasting FARMING, the time wasting MOVING AROUND on the empty massive world and the clunky CONTROLS. It already spoiled my taste for it. I would prefer to give them a couple of more month to finish the game before the release. Good job, EA!

I think I'm one of the rare people who loved DA2 the best. Don't get me wrong, that game dropped the ball on a LOT of stuff, but I love Hawke and her story and her companions more then I care about the Warden or the Inquisitor, so that kinda puts it at the top of the list for me. I just really enjoyed the companions, and party banter and that quests seemed to have a bit more story focus then just gather 5 bear claws.
DA:O comes in second place. I've replayed that game like 4 times over the years, but its such a dated game now that when I tried playing it again before DA:I came out I just couldn't get through it. Seriously, I kinda wish that instead of planning DA4 they should just update DA:O with better graphics, voice actor for the Warden, add the cool crafting system, and party banter, and it would probably be a better game then anything new they could come up with.
As for DA:I, I just find myself so underwhelmed
I was expecting to just obsessively play it, but I dunno. I'm still not finished the game and I find myself browsing tumblr and going on forums rather than playing cuz I just dont care about it. A lot of it has to do with the fact that I wanted to play a Qunari inquisitor, but couldnt cuz the 3 hair styles are -abysmal-, and because I didnt realize that I was having the banter bug for the majority of my game so all my companions kinda feel lifeless. Also, it seems like all the cool/interesting quests are on the war table, while I'm stuck just closing rifts and collecting shards.

Definitely Inquisition is best Imo.
DAI, then DAO, then DA2
honestly the poll is unfair. The majority of people hanging out in the feedback section of the forums already hate the game/have some problem with it. The rest of the people are too busy playing Inquisition.

1. DAO
2. DAI
3. DA2
DAO has the best storyline and combat gameplay. DAI has great gameplay but sloppy story. DA2 trash of both worlds.

If you don't count graphics I'm having hard time thinking what is better in Inquisition compared to Origins?

Clearly some people have a hard time accepting some times that people actually enjoy an older game over a newer one.
Im playing a game of Origins with a new game of Inquisition right now, and it's not nostalgia telling me im enjoying Origins more. It's the fact that during Inquisition I'm thinkng how much Origins got right, and during Origins I'm thinking THIS IS AWESOME.

People that respond to these arguments with "get over it", "you're living in the past", "you're being resistant to change" don't understand. BioWare had a winning formula and that was shown with 2 critically successful games that were developed before the EA takeover, ME2 and DAO. The EA philosophy of reaching out to a wider audience saw BioWare shuffling the deck and changing their formula with this goal in mind.
I've given DAI a chance with a fresh start and went with the flow. Overall, it's okay but it doesn't haunt me like BG:SoA, DAO, ME1 & ME2 did where I wanted more at the end. When playing the mentioned titles, I wasn't like "this had better be good like the last BioWare title or they can die in a fire". I sat down, got hooked on it and absorbed into the world BioWare created and loved it!

Lets see, I completely avoided all hype and information about DAI, so that I could enjoy the game for what it is when I got it. That failed...and I'm still disappointed.
Its not nostalgia, and using that is a weak argument. I could right now boot up DAO and even DA2 and enjoy the game all over again more then DAI. In fact, just the thought of playing through DAI a second time sounds daunting and tedious. Playing DAO or DA2 again...sounds fun.
Sure DAI is good. But its empty. All it has going for it is the story. The side-quests are forgettable. And the romance, which is good, feels cut short and is treated more like a side quest who's end goal is some nudity and that's it. (surprisingly, not all of us play the romances for the nudity)
But at the end of the day, when I put down the controller, I find myself reminiscing with friends more over DAO or DA2 then DAI. Its...pretty forgettable. I think the only main story quest so far that I found myself invested deeply in was Adamant Fortress. And that's because DAO left me with an emotional attachment to the wardens, which made the events and outcome of Adamant Fortress mean more to me.

Why is it nostalgia?
I just played DA:O, finished two days ago.
I enjoyed it then, I enjoy it now. Much more than DA2 or DA:I.
I was actually "pushed" to playing more DA:O by playing through DA:I twice.
All DA:I manage to do was remind of what a master piece DA:O was.

Totally agree. I've played through Origins sixteen times (the most recent run a few weeks ago) and it's still as good as it ever was, and I am still finding little bits of dialogue I've not heard before.

Origins hands down... while DAI is a good comeback after the crappy "your choices don't matter" DA2 ("game" that seriously desserves everyone involved in it's development to be flogged) DAO had magic, DAI is a good successor to Saints Row 2, not to DAO

Origins at the top of the list followed by DA:I then DA2.
Would have like to seen the sequels not go down the action-RPG route. While I enjoyed this design with the ME series, DA should have remained as it was in DA:O even if it wasn't for everyone.

I'm actually quite puzzled how DA2 > DAI for some folks.
For me if I was to describe my impressions of DA2, Kirkwall definitely lived up to its reputation as a prison city.

For me, its simple. Despite its flaws, being stuck in one city, and the repetitive dungeons, I still walked away from it having had a ton of fun. The story was amazing (as usual with Bioware), the characters were all great and their personal stories were fleshed out, and the side quests were enjoyable, involved you in the characters, and left you with some meaningful experience (good or bad). I would play this game again, in multiple playthroughs.
DAI doesn't have that. Yes the world is open and no more repetitive dungeons, but the side quests are almost all forgettable and shallow, and the companions individual stories are fairly short and pretty much tend to end at the romance scene (and can be rushed the moment you get into Skyhold instead of being spaced out between main quests. its also super easy to succeed in romancing a character). I would play this again in multiple playthroughs, but only to get so far as Skyhold and experience the other romances. No way would I go through all that again to the ending. ![]()
Plus, I actually liked the rival/friendship system in Dragon Age 2. I could act more how I wanted with Hawke and not risk a romance, rather then having to pick my choices to get the best approval in Inquisition.

Ah, makes sense I guess. I have to admit I do prefer the pacing of DA2, DAI can be all over the place at times.

Your opinion is not fact.
Different people have different aspects of games that they like. DAO, DA2 and DAI all have different strengths and weaknesses that work for different people.
Personally, DAI doesn't work for me because I HATE open world and sandbox games. I hate MMO's. I play games to enjoy well-written stories, characters, and witty humor. I love BioWare's legendary writing skills, creativity, and witty, sarcastic humor. I hate having to sift through hours upon hours of padding and pointless fetch-quests in DAI to get to scraps of their good writing, whereas with DAO the writing is everywhere. It's present in all of the companions, party banter, idle banter from random passersby around you; even random quest-givers (such as Sergeant Kylon) and even random items you pick up (the description of Ser Garlen's Sword.)
DAI also SUCKS on PC. Hands down, the worst of the three. I don't own a console, and I can't afford one. I'm a PC gamer, so when a game's PC controls are stilted, awkward, and unresponsive whereas it's smooth as a butterfly for the two that came before it, I'm going to like the ones that play well. (Though I hate DA2.)

One reason is the bad console port Inquisition is, playing on PC with a mouse and keyboard makes me feel like the elf with broken arms.

Aye, the PC controls really drag this game down. However I think I've vented enough about it - if you have read my posts prior to getting answers from Bioware.

DA:2 - The polarizing, indipendent, low budget flick.
DA:I - The mainstream blockbuster.
Yeah kinda like the starship trooper sequels really,
1) Masterpiece
2) WTF?!
3) So much better than number 2 (IMO)
Granted, DA2 was much better in the DA franchise then ST2 was in the ST franchise.
