We've stopped the Blight, became a Champion and now we've conquered the Fade. Where will Dragon Age go next if they decide to make a new game? My guesses are some kind of war between Ferelden and Orlais. Opinions?
What's next?

Nah, I don't see yet another Ferelden/Orlais conflict on the horizon, it actually sounds sort of boring. I'm thinking maybe it'll have something to do with the Qunari, maybe we'll get to go to some of the never before seen countries further up North (Nevarra, Tevinter, hell maybe even Antiva).

The next blight

The next blight would be a good move and allow them to get closer to the roots of the game and Origins.

There can always be a blight, another crazy blighted magister, elf god being butthurt etc.

Thedas has no shortage of problems that require a player character to fix.

It'll be Tevinter. Dorian returns as companion. That's my guess.

The Qunari invasion, or maybe the elfs unite and try to destroy the evil humans and create and empire again.

A business simulator where you have to manage Varric's story publications while handling people claiming the books are based off of them.

We play as an Archdemon and command our horde of Darkspawn to conquer all of Thedas.

Expansion: Harding in Hightown
Play as Scout Harding as she investigates a series of grisly murders in Kirkwalls Hightown.

I doubt it would be another blight unless they had multiple archdemons awaken. That would certainly up the stakes. I'd rather we went deep into the Deep Roads after the Darkspawn. I'd want to explore their origin more, but I don't know what role Corypheus has in DA:I, not having played it yet.
Then we also have the Qunari invasion, or maybe even the other way around and kick them off Thedas.

Blight, Mages vs Templars and Fade-dependent evil should be only side fractions of the fourth game. Starting from the Origins, Tevinter Imperium and Blood Magic has garnered lots of fans and it should be the next installment in the series. Tevinter vs Qunari vs Elves and a pinch of Darkspawn/Usual stuff along a detailed Blood Magic mechanic, the game could be tasty.

I hope we'll see Weisshaupt and the Wardens are again a focus. Not necessarily a "real" Blight ... why not raping the lore a bit to annoy the die-hard fans and have something like a ressurrected Dumat under control of a Tevinter Archon/Magister, who also had/has connections to the Venatori?
We could have Tevinter, Anderfels, and the Qunari-War,which however shouldn't be the focus, just have us destroy the Qunari and be done quickly with them. But maybe the hypothetical magister uses his own "Blight" to stop the Qunari, and this way all hell breaks lose?

Bioware's already stated recently that they are moving North. They feel they've covered enough of the south and the chantry. Without giving any spoilers, events of DAI and where some characters mentioned they're heading also hint towards the north.

not another blight. Been there, done that.
Not to mention there'd be even more crying from people who just want a repeat of Origins.

I don't think the next game will deal with the blight, but Bioware has stated that they are far from over. And if they tug on the grey warden thread in the north, it may well be related. Especially with the Tevinters.

Also the accents are to die for~
As for what I think the protag will be dealing with? I'll be vague but,
Plus more little things that were put on the plate thanks to this game. But will it take us to Antiva, ever? Pretty please?

Geographically? Tevinter, the Qunari controlled islands, and the Anders seem to be the most obvious directions, but I sure would love to go to Antiva. How many npcs have teased us about how beautiful/bloody/smelly it is? I must see this place for myself, durnit.

IIRC, Antiva and Anderfels were nations Bioware specifically mentioned. They also mentioned diving more into the Qunari.
