In DAI we see a few returning faces of previous Templars from past games. However I am curious as to what happened to Keran. As far as I know he is not mentioned or seen in the game. I saw what happened to Carol (which was sad) and begs me to wonder if Keran shared the same fate. Granted I am not wondering where Keran is because he was an awesome character or anything like that. More along the lines of story reasons.

Did anyone come across Keran or information about his fate, I may have overlooked or missed due to a story direction?

If not, what do you think might have happened to Keran?

Holy ****, I totally did not make the connection between the Carroll in this game and the Carroll in Origins. To the point where his name didn't even register in my mind. As for Keran. If he returned to the Templars after Meredith died then I think it's safe to assume that he became a Red Templar unless he left Kirkwall, since if Hawke's the Viscount, the Kirkwall Templars start using red lyrium.

The Templar I was most hoping to hear from though, was Greagoir. I like to imagine that he took Irving and now the two of them live by some river in the middle of nowhere. Fishing and bickering.

Oh really? What happens to the templars if Hawke isn't the viscount?

They're not mentioned. Instead, Hawke says he left Kirkwall because he heard rumblings of an Exalted March and wanted to avoid it (I see what you did there, tricksy Bioware).

I assume they started taking it in this scenario too though. Since they would be even more desperate considering they didn't have Hawke's support at all.
