Please....pray for my uncle....he is in very bad condition.....a tiny bone was stuck in his throat and has caused a very nasty infection which has also infected his heart. And because his father smoked a lot, her lunges condition is not good either....he was in the operation room from 1 P.M to 10.....doc said he has 10 percent chance of sruvival.....and th remaining ten percent is just praying to god and asking for help as there is nothing else that anyone else can do about it......My moher and him were and are so close....my mom can not take it...I am also worried that if...god forbidden....my uncle passes away...my mom.....I cant even think about it.....I just lost my aunt a couple of years ago...to whom my mother was close too....and it took a lot out of her....she and her sister and her brother...were/are like a triangle of love...they are so dependant on each other...and now her brother is the only thing she has...she is too broken right now....so am I....I am so sinful and such a bad person that I`m even ashamed of talking to god and asking him to heal him....please....pray for him.....I can write anymore...I am crying mysef.

I hate to break the truth to you in this situation. But...
No matter how hard you pray, it's going to do nothing. It might make you feel better, but that won't save him. Medical science will be what saves him, not a god. Prayer does nothing. If someone wants to make a difference, then they need to get off their ass and do something.
As for you being sinful, you choose to believe in something that tells you that with a god, you are nothing and you need to be led, that you lack the free will to decide for yourself. You need to shed said faith and open your eyes.
Only the doctors can do something.
And with a 90 percent chance of surviving, I'm sure he'll recover.

90% is more than enough. People do surgeries with 50% chance of survival.

Moral of the story:
1) Never eat meats with tiny bones.
2) Go to hospital as soon as something is firmly stuck in your body.
Buddha bless your uncle anyway.

The first damn doc told him it is nothing...and gave him just come crap medicine without even examining him and listening to him...or telling him to go and have his throat scanned...so he did what the doc said...and then later when he went to have it scanned, the other doc said it is "spasm". ...**** the doctors...they all just want money....how could that dumb doc don`t see the bone?...and what kind of doctor prescribes without listening to the patient and examining him thoroughly? doctor my....they all just want money.....

I don't believe prayer will do anything. I believe God doesn't interact with us at all, regardless of who we are. Suffering and death are simply parts of the greater scheme of things unfortunately. To God, they would be but momentary blips in a human's life before the eternal peace that awaits them with him.
Your uncle's life lies within the hands of the doctors.
But if prayer truly works then there's no need to ask us, just do it, if you think it will help. Perhaps it will.
I hope we hear good news about your Uncle's recovery mate. Humans defy the odds all the time so don't lose hope or your faith.
As for you being sinful, you choose to believe in something that tells you that with a god, you are nothing and you need to be led, that you lack the free will to decide for yourself. You need to shed said faith and open your eyes.
No one personally "chooses" to believe. They believe based on personal experiences or their interpretation of the universe, same as your reason for being atheist.

I use to eat fish that don't have much of those. Like Tuna, Salmon and these:

Wow, I hope he makes it out alright. I'll pray for him.
I lost my uncle to multiple sclerosis, he was a great guy and I never got the chance to know him. Even if your uncle passes away you will always be able to cherish your memories with him.

I'm sorry to hear about this news Intrigue. I hope he makes a full recovery. I know that I've lost both of my grandfathers, but maybe it was their time to rest in peace. Just know that regardless of what happens, you will always have your Uncle in your memories and in your heart.

I was telling nothing but the truth.
Yes, it hurts, but you cannot pray to an imagery person for help.
Oh, and I meant to say "Without," not, "with" during my first post.
I misstyped it as I am crying while writing....I meant 10 percent chance of sruvival and 90 percent chance of death....
Then I am afraid there can be little to be done.

That's how the world works. Even if it cost lives as long as they get their money then it was just to them.

But because we are Humans we defy the odds all the time. Even when it seems like we will be lost to the darkness of failure or death sometimes we emerge to the light of victory or survival.

This year has hit me really hard in terms of loss and I hope that you don't share in that pain. I just want you to know that I am here for you.
I am really sorry to hear about your uncle and I hope that he recovers, you and your family have nothing but my best wishes.
There are some good doctors, but yeah, a lot of them are money hungry a******. It's sort of a luck of the draw on that.
If it is of any consolation to you, lots of doctors view things differently from each other, so what that one saw as a 10% chance of survival, another might see as a 30% chance of survival (not that the odds matter, but the end result does). My grandfather had two quadruple bypasses done on his heart (one his thirties or forties and another in his sixties or seventies), he wasn't supposed to have survived either of them, he survived both and did not lose any sort of functions.
If the worst happens then don't hold anything back, grieve and remember your uncle for who he was and what he has done for you. Remember that death is the fate that links us all together as human beings and awaits us all, his time just came before you would have liked (it sucks, I know), carry your uncle with you in your heart and honor his memory to the best of your ability. You are his legacy, he survives through you.
If he survives then hold him close, tell him that you love him and do your best to cherish everyday that you and he have together.
Feel free to private message me if you feel the need to vent or grieve and don't want to put it on the message boards. Just don't hold things in, it'll make things harder on you, okay?

We're all hoping he's alright. If you need anything, well, we're here... Or at least, I am. Needing anything, there is a PM Button there.
Mister Vroom said it all. I wish him the best luck. Having faith here! Don't give up.
