The wiki mentions one in Redcliffe Village behind one of the shops, and I found another one in the Exalted Plains near a rift.

 

Anyone else have locations for these? Note you need to have Sera in your active party to be able to see them!

There's one in the cave in the very SE of Crestwood. I totally missed the cave during my playthrough and only found it when I took Sera, Dorian, and Iron Bull out for a spin to try to get some funny dialogue.

 

ETA: It's more like SSE. Just head to the southernmost point on the map and you should see the cave pop up on the map.

There is one in Hinterlands clear down by the SW corner Rift. As you go into the cave look along the right hand side in a cubbyhole.

 

What I need to know is how do you make them active: I know have Sera in party but the first box said rewards given but nothing showed up in my inventory...So I think something is wrong....

 

Would you post what steps/quest are needed to make them work??

Hmm, I switched over to Sera to open the chest because it seemed appropriate, but I interacted with it like any normal chest.

I actually don't recall if you get any items, or if it's just influence/approval. I'll check out the one you mentioned and report back if I get any loot. Thanks!

 

EDIT: I can confirm that there's no loot in the chests - you get some XP, Influence, and Slight Approval from Sera.

I can confirm the one in Redcliffe Village. It's against the outside of the north wall of the Market.

New one:

 

Atop the hill for The Tempter Burns (landmark in SE of the Hinterlands, on a hill roughly between Dwarfson's Pass Camp and the Cave called Ash Warrior's Refuge).

 

If you stand right in front of the landmark flag and face due west, so that the burning coal is on the other side of the banner and a carved rock on the other side of that, turn just a bit SW and you'll see a big natural rock (not the little carved ones) that's on a slight angle. There is a tree planted immediately north of this rock, so close that you can only pass one person through at a time (poor Iron Bull won't fit, though). Circle that rock and you'll find it on the west side. It's easiest to circle from the north so you stay on the same level as the landmark flag, but it's not a hard jump if you drop down on the south side. Also at the base of the rock are an iron deposit and an elfroot.

 

ETA: You might not be able to manually walk a character through the gap between the rock and the tree. Dorian did it by himself by twisting sideways, but wouldn't when I tried to send him through. Anyhow, that's how close the tree is to the rock, just for easier identification.

 

Also, apologies if that's just a regular cache-shaped loot chest. I swore I saw Red Jenny in the name before I opened it, but my memory is totally shot these days...

I was hunting these down because I wanted to max Sera's approval before beating the game. After picking up this last one in the Hinterlands, I was finally able to trigger her friendship cutscene.
