Ok well first after searching quite a bit i have fixed my intro so it no longer skips or freezes at the loading screen. now i load up my ME1 character and load it up the cutscene starts fine i see the burning thing(dunno what im looking at yet cause i havent been able to play yet lol) cuts back once still smooth nothing wrong, then it cuts back again, this is where everything goes to hell. Its like watxching a movie and hitting pause and play every 6 seconds or so. i have tried everything new drivers, physx,  taking the quality down, checking my overclocking, everything and its still doing it. now ive done so much stuff i cant figure out where i went wrong and made my sound start making popping noises when the game loads up, its like a strange static in the background.

This is extremely frustrating considering i just finished the first game last night and just wanna play this freaking game already, i have been at this for 5 hours straight already.  does anyone have any clue as to Wtf im supposed to do it would be greatly appreciated

Um, I think every game supports single core.  You just might not meet minimum requirements.  This isn't a patchable issue.

That part is great, but I need the rest to see what drivers you have installed.

No. I have exactly the same problem that the OP outlined, with an AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5200+

Same problem here: http://social.biowar...06/index/766849

Seemes like game does not properly work with cinematics on singelcore CPU-s. If you wait throu the laggy prologe, you'll be able to customise your character and play until the other movie.

could this be a defrag problem? of course it says i dont need to but if this isnt only affecting single core users im curious if it might be something as simple as that

Most modern games recommend a dual core processor. That's not to say they won't work on older, single core rigs. But, to whomever stated they need a patch just doesn't understand CPU utilization and power. No offense intended.

Regarding the DXDIAG. The most important thing to me are:

1) Drivers for sound, graphics and motherboard

2) Hard drive space

3) Other apps/codecs installed

The game just might need the extra CPU power.

It is highly wasteful anyway, your system that is - the processor will always end up being the bottleneck since the graphics card is very decent.

yes but the fact that i have paid 0$ on my system puts me waaaaaaaaaay ahead i have played crysis on high i have beaten everything out there this its seems is the stone that did it. with that my hat is off to bio-ware for making the most demanding cut scene ever. of course they couldn't have just made regular ones like everyone else or hell at least warned us before we pre-ordered and spent good money on a game that we cannot play now. i will play through a game on slightly lower settings and be fine but i am not stopping at every cut scene to knit a sweater then play again its ridiculous they need a fix, maybe if they didn't feel the need to make an extra 3 F**KIN GIGS OF MOVIES seriously its a waste of space. funny part is the game runs perfect everything on high im getting 54 fps no prob while in combat but im held up on movies like wtf is that?

Well...Crysis was released a few years ago when your CPU was more relevant...just saying.

.. And Crysis had completely unreal GPU requirements at the time, you pretty much had to get the equivalent of an 5870 to get high setting running decently.

Your system is woefully under system requirements, they were on the box and on the website for months.

I highly doubt you ran Crysis on that PC on high, maybe at 800X600.

You really can not blame Bioware for your inability to read or understand system specs.

A new motherboard, ram and CPU could cost you less then $300 is you stay with AMD.

well yea but all im saying is i was told plenty of times no my computer will not run this game, or gone online and had the page tell me no way can a 4000+ run it. bout 15 mins later i had warhead on gamer or enthusiast running at 50fps contant. or course my video card was oc'd and the processor was running at 3.2 and almost on fire but it was totally worth it lol
