If they made such expensive and useless DLC i will find the way on how to pirate it... I'm strongly against DLC in  every shape

And I will cheerfully pay for it if they do. Especially if it comes with a Mirror of Transformation and a storage chest. And a mabari. And the ability to name our mounts.

I'm guessing the reason behind the forced casual wear is to make it easier for all the Skyhold related cutscenes- having all the armor choices might have caused clipping and such.

I'd just like an actual reason to visit my quarters. I mean, I didn't go out and buy a freaking free marcher bed and elf glass for nothing, right? Right?

I don't mind paying for DLC like this, but only if it comes packaged with substantial content. I think paying for the clothes themselves is a bad business model, even if they come with storage and a mirror. Those things should all be attached to a larger, story-related DLC.

I'd rather have what we do now that what we get in cut scenes in Mass Effect where I'm holding the wrong weapon.

I'd pay anything to never see those awful pajamas ever again, I cringe just looking at this and miss my badass armor

Something like Mass Effect 3's method would have been ideal, I think. You're forced to wear a uniform or casual wear, but you at least have options.

You believe that? They can create expansive vistas and fantastic spell visuals, but adding different types of clothing to cut scenes is too much for them?

Not buying it.

They did it intentionally to sell DLC...which is sure to come. May also be one of the reasons they have no modding here. Modders have always done far better than devs when it comes to clothing, hair, etc.

Still, modders are making progress as I type, so we may get better clothing, hair, etc in time, one way or another.

On Biowares track record for DLC:

New Looks/armor/etc tend to be part of a Content DLC, they usually add something with at least some play value to it (Return to Ostagar, Wardens Keep, Leliannas Song, etc) even if it's short it's still content that usually enhances gameplay a fair bit.

So if they add new Skyhold clothing looks, I'd expect it be something of the like:

1. Operation appears on War Table or Several operations (questline) that unlock a new zone or scenario area, upon completion the Clothing will be added to a Dresser that would be placed in your private quarters.

2. Skyhold update that allows further customization, things to do in your own private quarters, Dresser added with different clothing options, likely includes an operation or several. (this would likely be a free content update as they have already set a standard for this in the past)

3. Extra content mini campaign revolving around a character either companion or otherwise (most popular choice is Grey Warden) clothing/armor added via obtaining it or completing it in the content.

If it's part of DLC I would get anyway, I'm in. As long as the DLC is good game stuff and not all about skyhold upgrades like EA's The Sims, I'm in. I really don't care to much for playing house at skyhold. I would like to look better than in my jammies, but I was hoping it would serve more utility like more extensive gardening than six measly pots.

They do it with all the cutscenes outside skyhold with no issue. If it weren't for that I'd think you're right but the armor looks fine on all the characters I've made in all the scenes outside. No clipping issues and I've worn all the armors.

Hmm this is true. I guess I'm just trying to fathom why they thought the beige thing was a good idea.

So Basically packs that enhance your gameplay (armor, weapons and accessories) for the price of a Starbucks Coffee?

Not exactly Capcom "Pay twenty bucks for some different looks" now is it?

The emperorInquisitor has no clothes

Fixed.

As for topic, another casual outfit is about the only addition they could make to the game which I'd be annoyed having to pay for. The existing one feels out-of-place, it's completely inappropriate, and I think they know that at Bioware.

Add the ablity to wear your armor in a patch (sans weapon to avoid egregious clipping)  and everyone will be happy.

There are six packs, so if you want them all 3 x 6 = $18. Already quite close to twenty, isn't it? That's pretty expensive for just a few outfits and weapons. It's the same idea as with store content for The Sims. You can say "oh, one hairstyle isn't that expensive" but when you want to buy everything EA has made available that way you have to fork over hundreds of dollars. Story content including weapons and armor are fine by me. I happily paid for Skyrim DLC, for instance, and got more than my money's worth. But these item (and possibly hair and other mostly cosmetic stuff) packs I refuse to support.

except that qunari chins clip madly through the outfit in every cutscene thus rendering this excuse invalid

Skyhold update with mirror of transformation room plus an additional skyhold customization plus another casual outfit, $9.99 / 9.99€ seems an obvious dlc choice.

Hmm this is true. I guess I'm just trying to fathom why they thought the beige thing was a good idea.

No kidding. I think they wanted to play it safe or maybe going really bland was deliberate to get people to buy stuff. I mean when you think about it, they did create optional armors for ME2 and I think for the crew as well as Shepard. I would not be the least bit surprised if they offer different colors down the line for 1.99 or something. Now the problem here though is that the outfit is still pretty dull. I actually like the formal attire and if that were offered as something you could craft then wear around skyhold (it is actually armor that you can craft that has a pretty decent rating), I would go for that because I like the idea of looking a bit more put together and professional because dammit, I'm the inquisitor!

That outfit you have now is the undergarment you wear if you remove the mercenary outfit at the very start. I can't decide if it's just casual wear of truly undergarments or jammies. At first I didn't mind but now that I've been seeing it for countless hours I cannot stand it. Not the color or the look. It really does look like jammies to me. XD.

I doubt that they'd charge for something this simple. It'd be like the Black Emporium DLC.
