So I have a friend who is relatively new to the game, and we did threatening. He went down on the first wave and we revived him.
Then he went down two more times on the final fights on two waves, which I revived him by opening the door
When we went to fight the final boss, he went down again and was instantly turned into the fade.
The current rumor is that reviving with the door would not count as a penalty towards your 3 downed penalties.
Based on this match, I can conclude that this rumor is false. If someone goes down, just revive them on the spot to get your bonus XP of 25.
Reviving with the final door on each wave doesn't do anything

Definitely false. After entering bleed out 3 times, the 4th and every future time will send you instantly to the Fade for the duration of the wave. You will be revived as normal by the end of wave door.
