No, Orlais is the only country that fielded troops. Plenty of other nobles from other countries did fight and lead them, however.

If the Orlaisian empire controlled Navarra and the free marches, then it would still technically only be orlais that committed troops. It could have had an impact similar to the siberians in ww2.

But as I said I have no idea how large te Orlaisian empire was at this point in time.

Yes, yes, elves are just as stupid and incompetent as humans, dwarves and qunari apparently, blah, blah blah. They're all evil so maybe the world of Thedas would be better off with all races gone. Leave it to all the little Fennec babies.

Oh we did. We made fun of Dalish for weeks. It was a fun time. Many people raged on the forum. That and them killing mage children by starvation and abandonment caused many a laughing riot. In the end, most of the fans either raged and stop talking about it, or completely chalked it up to humans being awful or it's "everybody's fault."

Err hello? We are still here fool. lol

That's why I said it in public, instead of just PMing it to him.

It's a tragic and interesting story which has now become fodder for forum trolling.

"Ooo, a well written, grey morality tale! I bet I can make people on the internet mad with this!"

What a great community.

There'd still be the ghasts, the fex, and the giants.

The truth? Giving the scroll to Keeper Hawen makes mention of humans and elves committing different acts that culminated in the war between humans and elves, which is why Hawen's clan concedes that they were wrong to think the war was entirely the fault of the humans. This makes sense when you consider this is one incident in a long, bitter history between the Dales and Orlais. We know the issues between the Dales and Orlais was what prevented Drakon from invading the Free Marches. We also know that there was an issue due to the elves in the Dales following their own gods, instead of the Maker. There was also the territorial disputes between the Dales and Orlais.

That's not what the note said. Try again. History will only repeat if you ignore it.

Is that your roundabout way of saying you want to eat me? Sorry, not into that, lol.

And it is rather funny if that actually made you cry. Don't read too much of the thread then. I'd hate to see your reaction when they start defending rape and elven oppression.

They must've gotten out their fanciest dresses from the attic just for the occasion.

That's precisely what the scroll read, and it's the reason Keeper Hawen and his clan explicitly state why they were wrong to think the inception of the war was one-sided. Humans and elves were both wrong, and the Dalish recognize it enough to extend an olive branch to Red Crossing in the spirit of good will - a halla, one of their most sacred animals.

More like I just saying your heart less.

And you need more context to understand why I cry. My first character of dao was a female city elf. She always saw the dalish  arrogant bastards but she still believed that elves in general were better then they are now. That her and her people were wiser and greater in ancient times. I really connect to my pc when I role play. Now the time that I learnt what happen to the dales is just after the arbor wilds, I just learnt that elves destroyed themselves out of there pride and arragance, so I was shocked but disappointed. Abolas and his arrogance did not make it better and made it a point it was a waste to try to get the elves to be like that agien. Then can the graves of the emerald knights were I find out what really started the war of the dales. Elven pride and arrogance..... Yet again I learnt the elves down fall they did to themselves.

How can I, who rp as an elf who looked up the the ancent elves and the dales, not cry?

You missed the part where the elves of the dales broke the last straw and how elven arrogance and pride destroyed any hope of peace to be made at the time. It matters not who did what, the issue is that the elf of the dales did not even bother to try for peace but antagonized everyone around them, even themselves.

By having some balls and remembering this isn't real?

Lol, and anyway, you're just giving the guys in this thread what they want. And me, lol, as the Dalish ****** me off, even if I don't hate them like these guys do. But, the Dalish aren't getting any tougher by crying over the past. Whether humans were the cause of their downfall or not, they need to start doing something about it, not just remembering what happened. History is useless until you learn from it.

So you never cried during any form of media after reading or seeing a scene. Wow, you really are heartless.

I like how you asked the question without letting me answer before calling me heartless.

No, I certainly have. Without a doubt. But this? Lol, this was kinda obvious first of all, and second, it doesn't change anything.

Third, crying because someone wasn't as high and mighty as they thought they once were just sounds pathetic. If it was about the tragedy and needless death on both sides, that'd be one thing. Still kinda weak, because this happens in history all the time, but still..

Crying over what you just said though, is hilarious.

You could, instead, look at what could be accomplished because of an elven main character. Inquisitor Lavellan commands the Inquisition and can establish Skyhold as a place where Dalish and Andrastian elves can work together; the organization can become powerful enough to sway nations; Inquisitor Lavellan can forge an alliance with Briala that places an elf on the throne, gives rights to the Orlesian elves, and intimidates the nobles who oppose her; last but not least, the Dalish protagonist can assist Clan Lavellan in saving the humans and elves of Wycome that leads to Keeper Deshanna Istimaethoriel becoming a leader of the city-state.
