I'm working on something.... I couldn't find any nude pictures of Abelas. I tried! LOL. I'm glad you are not upset. I didn't think you were but I wanted to make sure. Now I will stop walking on eggshells.

okay well... what I wanted to do would take forever so I went and found something that works. Just imagine those are more of his tattoos. Personally I think the proportions are about right. The thighs are huge (maybe too huge) the butt is tight. I've looked at Abelas far too long. I wouldn't open this at work.

Not possible, my dear. I'm afraid it's permanent. <3

How is every one this fine day? My Solas muse has decided to cooperate with me and Abelas muse is being stubborn. Typical.

The thighs are not too huge.  :D

I had a momentary qualm about objectifying men fictional characters publicly available photos of men standing in for fictional characters.

Then I thought, "If I had worked for those thighs, I wouldn't mind if everyone looked at them!"

Well... I figured since the guy has been paid to show off said thighs he wants or at least doesn't mind if people admire. I can take it down if it offends. I'm working on Abelas's model still and I don't see it finished any time soon. But when it is I hope it will be an accurate representation of his Royal Thighness and I won't have to use human representations any longer.

I have been thinking this.

Abelas: The shemlen are as poor at keeping their word as reputed.

What does the word reputed mean in this?

I have been thinking this.

What does the word reputed mean in this?

They have a reputation for not keeping their word.

So reputation or rumor

re·pute
rəˈpyo͞ot/
verb
past participle: reputed
  1. be generally said or believed to do something or to have particular characteristics.
"he was reputed to have a fabulous house"
synonyms: thoughtsaid, reported, rumored, believed, held, considered, regarded, deemed, alleged
"they are reputed to be very rich"
    • be generally said or believed to exist or be of a particular type, despite not being so.
"this area gave the lie to the reputed flatness of the country"
      synonyms: supposedputative
      "his reputed father"
    • be widely known and respected.
      "intensive training with reputed coaches"
synonyms: well-thought-of, respected, well respected, highly regarded, of good repute
      "a reputed naturalist"

Well that's interesting because it seems to imply that Abelas might have been in contact with humans before.

EDIT: Well. Not necessarily humans but others who are not immortal.

It's interesting they chose to cut that dialogue. Yes, I think Abelas may have been in contact or... remember the deal Flemeth made with Conobar? He did not keep his word. I wonder if Abelas has been drinking the Flemeth kool aid all these years.

"Men's hearts hold shadows darker than any tainted creature." Abelas must have an interesting view of shemlen if he has been hearing words like that.

"we awaken only when called...each time find the world more foreign then before."

Seems like they may have had contact with the outside or with others, just checking the state of things? chasing people away, killing them. I'm sure in all that time he probably stopped to chat at least once. Maybe... unless he's usually more stabbity and less talky.

Stabbity needs to be a word damn it. What's calling the sentinels then? This conversation reminds me how innocent Abelas is in a way. Yes, I know he kills intruders but he really is sheltered from everything. Oh that would be so fun! In the next DA you get to corrupt Abelas. I soooooooooo want that.

Maybe the spirit/essence/watery(jk) tart in the well, keeping cory from getting to the Eluvian? Mythal? Some other magical burglar alarm?

Aww, no, it wasn't a criticism of you. I was a little sore because some guy went off the deep end in the comments on a blog about beautiful Finnish men (lol) accusing women of objectifying men, so I'd been mulling over that idea for a couple of days and haven't come to a conclusion about it yet. Aren't actors and models signing up to be objectified to a certain extent? Does that apply to the voices of voice actors???

Maybe that line didn't fit in the game? But to me it seems to mean something. Flemeth has seen what men have done. I think this could mean that Abelas was in contact with her. Although the other possibility could be that Abelas was in contact with shemlem and then they didn't keep their promises and that's why he kills everybody who tries to invade his temple. Maybe he was in contact with Dalish and they didn't keep their promises and that's the reason why he is so angry at them.

Serelir that's a difficult question. Not sure what to think about it because sometimes people also post their sexy images on the internet and they do that because they get attention and they like it. Why would they post those images if they wouldn't like that attention?

By the way where have you been watching those men?

No worries my dearest kitchen ginger. <3

This is how I feel about it. Please understand I am not having an argument here. Just expressing an opinion. How long have men been objectifying women? I'm not saying it makes it right. It's just... well I guess watching my repressed mother growing up I tend to be more like what is the harm in admiring a beautiful body especially if the person has offered up their body for that very purpose? Is it then not a compliment? People sculpt, paint and chisel the human body. Those who naturally have been blessed with a pleasing one sometimes shows theirs off to be admired or for income. If the pictures were of some man on the street I could understand his concern. But I suspect these were pictures of Finnish models maybe or just Finnish men in general? I don't see the harm in just admiring as long as it isn't suggested it become a standard all men must live up to

Well that description of Mathew Gravelle's voice spells out lust to me. <3

Maybe the spirit/essence/watery(jk) tart in the well, keeping cory from getting to the Eluvian? Mythal? Some other magical burglar alarm?

Just because some watery tart hands you a sword... I couldn't resist. You know how that recording played backwards says Mythal speaks the calling? what if it isn't talking about the Blight? Or what if she somehow used the Blight to communicate? Oh it's all too weird.

I think just about everything Abelas says has a hidden meaning behind it. I think perhaps both. I'm leaning towards both because of Abelas's fullness comment. The Dalish have done something horrible I think. There is something there but I can't decide what it is exactly.

I love this idea! I'm more intrigued by hints that everything is more complicated than first glance. It bugs me when good and evil are painted with a broad brush (mages are bad, elves are bad, darkspawn are bad - ok, darkspawn are pretty bad, but what about those intelligent darkspawn? What if the corruption of the Golden City was necessary?).

Exactly! They were actors. What I liked about the blog is that it not only talked about some actors I hadn't come across before, but it added in some fun aspects of another culture. I think in that case, the person objecting would do better to blame the film industry for having standards that are too narrow than to blame an individual for posting photos of actors she thought were handsome.

I would also add that Abelas admirers adore him not only for his pixel-thighs and sizable proboscis, but for his stabbity attitude as well.

Mythal seems to be the epitome of grey. Solas is too for the most part. Many people want to paint Solas evil but it's not that simple. The problem for me is that I have fallen in love with one of the Elvhen, I want Abelas to be happy and I want him to have a home. I mean... I really don't want people to die for it, although one could argue that many elves have died so that humans could have a home and for human greed. It's complicated and that makes it interesting. Why did I even get on this topic? o.O

It's interesting to ponder... for all we know the corruption of the golden city saved the Elvhen or stopped the world from being destroyed entirely. I suspect the latter. I suspect we are going to find out that humans are more susceptible to being led astray than the Elvhen. What would fascinate me is if we found out that the Elvhen pantheon had Mythal killed by humans who were promised immortality. Solas never said the pantheon directly killed Mythal. I think it would be a bad mood politically if they did the deed themselves. Wouldn't it be easier to win over her followers if someone like Abelas witnessed her murder at the hands of humans? Not only do you eradicate a potential threat but you gain new slaves etc. The Evanuris seem all about politics and scheming. They seemed to act indirectly through their own servants rather than directly from the codex I read. But then again, maybe it was a Caesar type murder with Mythal. I really want to know.

If they were actors then I don't see the harm at all. They are already in the public eye and I think most, if not all, expect fan worship to happen. Besides, I would say it is far worse to take an actor and explain what you don't like about their looks than to admire their looks.

I would also add that Abelas admirers adore him not only for his pixel-thighs and sizable proboscis, but for his stabbity attitude as well.

<3 I do love me some stabbity Abelas. <3

No wait it couldn't be by human hands because of what Cory says... sorry I am contradicting myself. Nothing to see here.
