[Abelas Forever!]

Just because some watery tart hands you a sword... I couldn't resist. You know how that recording played backwards says Mythal speaks the calling? what if it isn't talking about the Blight? Or what if she somehow used the Blight to communicate? Oh it's all too weird.

I think it might not be about blight. It feels too simple.

 

I think just about everything Abelas says has a hidden meaning behind it. I think perhaps both. I'm leaning towards both because of Abelas's fullness comment. The Dalish have done something horrible I think. There is something there but I can't decide what it is exactly. 

I think Abelas is honest. But without proper context it's really hard to to know what exectly he means.

I haven't watched the tiles in keep and now I decided to go there. I was looking  whether I see Abelas there. First I didn't see the Temple decision and I thought well that's a good thing because it's not mentioned that he died. Then I become terrified because that could mean that devs didn't think that decision means anything. Well then I saw the decision and felt better. I don't like that Abelas can die but at least it means something. Maybe the devs can bring him back and while doing so respecting the choices people made. Although I wouldn't mind if he would just come back

My package will start to move towards me tomorrow! Bedtime soon and I can hardly sit, I´m just too excited

Meh to the last two temple tiles. They can bite me.  The devs will bring him back if they want him back. It's so disheartening to see all the fan work and stories on tumblr and then wonder if the devs have seen it. I personally do not post my story on tumblr because I don't use tumblr I just search it for Abelas porn. But there are still plenty of stories on there without including Ao3. If they bring Abelas back I'll be thrilled. If they do not and we end up with companions similar to the ones we had this time, I will be looking at the gameplay and overall story to see if it warrants buying. 2-3 really likable companions are not enough to warrant an expensive price tag. Funny, my favorite companions are written by the same writer. I'm sure most people enjoyed more companions than that but I honestly did not.

Yep I agree the last two are just blasphemous! I only posted them in case SS or anyone else were curious to see them all.

It just says that you did or did not ally with the guardians.  No specific mention of Abelas' death (or even knifing).  Heck, it doesn't even mention the guardians dying.

 

To me this says that at least some of them, hopefully with Abelas, survived, no matter which choice you picked.

I'm the worst twitter user ever but here is the tweet and people are replying with love. But if you go on twitter and just search for Abelas all posts will come up. There are some new posts about people who are going to cosplay him and a new post that is that hot drawing I posted earlier today. Some of these people are followed by Patrick Weekes. So it's all good news for our lovely sentinel.

It should be made into a plaque with a little dragon on it so I can pray to it every night, Just like that

 

Could we just get Abelas to stay with our new character(in DA4)? Would it be too much to ask that he loves you and just stays with you no matter what?

It might be when it comes to a male elf... although Zevran and Fenris stay and I think it's safe to say you know that they love your protagonist. Don't get me wrong... I know Solas loves Lavellan but he can't stay with her knowing what he is going to do and become. Lavellan will probably find a way to kick some sense into him in the end but that poor woman has been through hell and back. I can't decide if dread wolf dreadlocks are worth it or not.

 

Anyway, I think Abelas would come with complications. It can't be avoided especially since he is still bound to Mythal. But I think if he fell in love, or grew to respect the new protagonist, it may alter his perception of the world, if it isn't already altered by Flemeth. The thing about Mythal is that she has been living among mortals for a very long time now. She has struggled and come to know the struggles of the world without the veil. I think she has a keen appreciation of it. That is why I find it hard to believe she would want to kill off mortals. But... maybe she is willing to destroy mortals to whip some ancient Elvhen bottom. But then why have daughters? Why help mortals at all? I find it hard to believe that Mythal is incapable of dropping the veil if she so chose to do so. You saw the power Solas took from Flemeth (which wasn't the godhood) and how devastatingly powerful it is when used. Flemeth could have dropped the veil in my opinion ages ago. She has a different plan. Muwahahaha... I'm hoping Mythal frees the sentinels or she can use the big hunky one to come seduce my DA4 protagonist. It's all good.

I have no idea I mean he seems to be honest and I think he might not be afraid of the relationship but like Babelas said there most likely are complications of being bound to Mythal. I think he might tell you that he is interested in you but he can't promise to be with you because he is bound to Mythal. So she would always be there to haunt your happiness.

Unless he is released somehow.  But maybe getting him to the point where he'd want to be released might be difficult.
