Hm, didn't Felassan say something about a small number of elves that entered uthenera didn't have to be tended past a certain point.  I guess they were uthenera savants?  What if the sentinels are that?

They could be. I just wonder if that is why Abelas's lips are so shiny. He comes out of uthenera with the honey/herb concoction still on his lips. Then again, as I recall before the game was patched the lips were way too shiny.

I think some of the elves who entered uthanera didn't need any food and the servants tested that by giving them that honey mixture. But I think it took some time before the elves could enter that state. I think also some of them didn't return. I suspect that the elves must come back at some point otherwise their body will die for good.

I wish I could have seen Abelas' shiny lips

So does anyone else get the feeling that Solas's reaction to Mythal being murdered is that of a lover? I didn't at first but the more I think about it the more it is starting to make sense. Might also explain Abelas's reaction to him. Maybe he blames Solas. I don't know... this keeps swimming around in my head. I also wonder if Elvhen had eternal bonds once they chose a mate or if they switched it up every 1,000 years for variety. See if they had eternal mates well... that's just depressing. I'm not convinced Elgar'nan and Mythal were married. If they were then I suppose they could have drifted apart. Ugggggg my head hurts.

Ever see that part of Trespasser with all the coffins lined up with a lyrium well in-between and Mythal statues overhead? Cole's comments make it sound like they never woke up but are still partially aware of things as spirits.

NO! No eternal bonds between Mythal and Solas. NO! If there was anything between them it's now gone. Solas belongs to my Inky!! ;)

But I think Solas might had something romantic going on with Mythal. Maybe that codex entry about that couple was about Solas and Mythal? What comes to Abelas and Mythal. I don't think there was anything going on. But Abelas was clearly angry at Solas. But then again there was quite many reasons for Abelas to be angry at Solas.

I might. Although I might confuse that to what happened in Masked Empire. Anyway I understood that in a way that their mortal body died but their spirit was still alive.

I think it's sort of like that for the guardians, but they manage to keep themsevles whole instead of being trapped in sleep forever. Now that Abelas is free though, I wonder if he will return to sleep for good and actually explore the world and wait for Solas?

Well Mythal is just a wisp now. That would make sex awkward. I think it's safe to say if there was anything it died when she died... errr uhhh  became a glowing ball of light.

I don't know. I'm still trying to figure out if the Elvhen ran around in spirit form or physical or both depending on their mood. Some of the codex entries kind of contradict each other when it comes to that. Personally, if I was shut up in a temple for that long partly because someone got cheeky with the magical solutions I'd be annoyed too. I don't blame Abelas if he is angry because of the loss of his home. But I think it's more than that.

What I really want to know is if Abelas knows Mythal speaks the calling and exactly what that means and if that pretty much says that she was an old god since we know it's true that an old god speaks the calling. I also want to know if Abelas and Solas can turn into dragons.

I've been thinking about this a lot, and I've just gotten to Skyhold in my canon game.  Cole says something like "she knew they would kill her, so she hid the important things" (paraphrasing).

I think when Mythal found out that the other gods were after her, she split off pieces of herself into the dragons, who then became Archdemons.  I don't know if the Blight is corruption or something that she made as a guarding device.

Oooooh dayum girl I love this theory!!!! Does Cole say this when they reach Skyhold or before? Because you know what Skyhold is right? Can I use this in my story? I  will give you credit because I really love this idea and it makes so much freaking sense. I think the Blight is definitely connected to Mythal and I think that perhaps once she dealt with Andruil and that mess she may have found a way to control it. I think it was a guarding device to keep the Evanuris from being released by the magisters. That's my guess.

So Evanuris archdemons... high priests  possibly high dragons? So what the hell are regular dragons? Are dragons harboring spirits... ugggg brain work.

Okay so now thinking.... what if.... archdemons are pieces of Mythal like you say Tielis and the Blight is controlled by the Forgotten Ones who resided in the Void cause that sounds like what Andruil brought out of the Void. We know the Forgotten Ones still interact with the world. They even still have followers among the Dalish. So what if the Forgotten Ones are using the darkspawn and Blight to corrupt those pieces of Mythal? (archdemons) Maybe also the Blight in the black city is there because the Forgotten Ones have been successful in infecting it. Maybe by infecting previous pieces of Mythal it has now connected her to the Blight because part of her is blighted.... Oooo that kind of makes sense because I remember reading something about well if Mythal speaks the calling then doesn't this make her part darkspawn. So Solas is upset at the Wardens because they want to kill off archdemons. He says it might make it worse and maybe it could because maybe Mythal is still holding off the blight from its full force through the use of her archdemon pieces. I have to go away and write this down into cohesive sentences... I love you Tielis... you is like totally awesome.

And and and that's why Flemeth can absorb the old god soul! She's absorbing back part of herself..... eff me I am excited. I is lovin this theory.

I'm excited... can you tell? *jumps up and down*

Yeah, I really have no clue about the Blight, other than the fact that Flemeth taught Morrigan the ritual to cleanse an Archdemon's soul from it.  Was this her plan all along, a failsafe, and then it got out of control?

My tinfoil hat theory is that the Forgotten Ones are human, or at least elves who taught themselves to live normally with the Veil.  Fen'Harel was able to move between he and the Forgotten Ones, and I believe that all the bad stuff about them was just more Evanuris propaganda.  I think we'll probably ally with them in order to take down the Evanuris.  Or they become Fen'Harel's army and we have to fight them.

Which was most likely Mythal's knowledge at work. So how did Mythal know how to do the dark ritual? Does that mean it had some other use in the time of Elvhenan? Or.. is it the fact that it was the ritual used in the first place to relinquish pieces of herself in reverse? In other words... this is how she puts herself back together. Damn clever Elvhen woman. I just love her more and more every day. She's like everything I ever wanted in a female hero growing up and never got because Barbie. She's real man... *smoke more elfroot* so damn real and grey and I just love every shady little hair on her head. Is Mythal/Flemeth D. Gaider's invention?

It would also explain why Flemeth is having only daughters. It would increase the chance of being able to do the dark ritual. She just keeps nudging history knowing at some point the opportunity will arise. (which is all kinds of wrong muwahahaha)

*Tinfoil hat on* Safety first! But the Forgotten Ones are locked away in the abyss... we've been to the abyss. So sneak cheeky Bioware putting titles in the game. I do believe the Forgotten Ones were blamed by the Evanuris but I also believe they may have been no better than them or even worse at a guess. The Dalish that fight in their name are relentless, and though that is not proof of guilt in and of itself, what benevolent creature has ever convinced another that killing in their name is good? It says something about them. Why did Solas lock them away? He had reasons... I think it would have been like the Evanuris the sequel if the FO's were allowed to remain, whether they were bad as the Evanuris said or not.

So you think the veil is coming down then? I mean... I want to fight the Evanuris don't get me wrong. I'm just wondering if we will ever get the opportunity.

Fen'Harel and his damn army can bite me. Unless Abelas is part of that army then sign me up (joking)

Spoiler

Even though Mythal let Solas to kill her I still consider that as actual killing. He didn't see any other choice in that moment and Mythal knew that and she let that happen so that he could get her power. But before that she had send her godhood to Morrigan. I have been thinking that Mythal apologized because she knew what Solas was going to do. However her reason for doing that could have been as you said and she apoloziged because she was going to stop him later. Maybe he knows that. Not sure about that though.

I think it might be that Abelas doesn't know what happened to Mythal because Inky who drank from the well didn't know that she/he was bound to Mythal until she/he met her. But if he knew that Solas had killed her I don't think Abelas would approve.

To me Abelas didn't seem to be the kind of man who believes in Mythal like people believe in Maker. He knows that there is a prize for her favours and he knew that he was a slave and that the one who drank from the well would become one as well.

Are you ready for my latest tinfoil hat theory?? I was wondering why Mythal chose a human as a vessel. I'm wondering if the Elvhen can't inhabit other Elvhen because maybe something like a spiritual collision would occur, whereas humans aren't carrying around that spiritual energy. We see that energy in Abelas, Solas and Flemeth's eyes. So I'm starting to think only spirits can go into humans like Anders and Flemeth.

When Flemeth talked about how Mythal came to her I got the impression that Mythal chose Flemeth because Flemeth wanted a vengence and she was asking for help from the spirits. I thought that their similar background united these two women. They both needed each other and they could accomplish many things when they were united.

There is that and I know Justice didn't have a choice but to merge with Anders in order to live. But I have noticed that it is always humans these spirits are merging with and not elves. But I mean... we know there are Elvhen still around. None of them would have worked? It just seems weird that she went to a different species. I dunno... my brain is odd.
