But if Solas' scar was caused by the removal of his markings wouldn't thare be more scars? I mean why there is just a single scar instead of scars all over his face where the markings were?

 

I don't believe that Abelas would join Solas if he has a choice in that matter. Solas' plan is so radical that I have difficulties seeing Abelas supporting it. Abelas' life changed when Mythal died. I don't think he wants to have the old world back because there is nothing for him. Solas on the other hand wants to help his people and has decided to do that no matter what the cost. I think Abelas' situation is different. He is now quite free to move on and it's possible for him. There is nothing holding him back.

 

It's hard to say. Perhaps that tiny scar is all that remains after a million years. Maybe he healed it all but that as a reminder of who he really is, as Cole said in Trespasser.

 

I hope not. His hopeful smile when Solas told him he had a place was so sad.

SS you beat me to that picture! I saw it this morning. Soooooooooooo gorgeous. 

 

All right... tinfoil hats at the ready. So you know how the Arbor Wilds felt kind of out of place considering it is a tropical paradise in the southern part of Thedas? Never fear! I have a theory! Yes, I know you can get weirdo climates because of ocean currents etc... but I wonder if maybe Mythal's magic enhanced that environment or maybe the very presence of the sentinels kept it lush and flowery. I know there is a comment made by Dorian about wanting to see Solas make flowers bloom with his song or something like that and what I noticed is that Solas doesn't dispute this LOL. We also know elves frolic. There has been two instances of that mentioned. Once with Merrill and now in a codex that is most likely about  Solas. My point is that I think elves, even DA elves have the ability to control aspects of nature. I should say Elvhen. I suspect they could manipulate nature to their liking. Now I wonder if we were to return to the Arbor Wilds if it would be dying because the sentinels and Mythal's magic are gone Something tells me it would not be the same.

You know they have huge thighs. So when they walk or run their thighs rub together which causes their armor to heat up and because it's special armor and designed for these sentinels this heating up is taken into account and the heat is released into the air and that of course causes it to warm up.

After the well has been taken Abelas seems to have no interest in remaining in the Temple, so I guess he goes searching those remaining elves Solas tells him about. But I'm not completely sure that he would join Solas plans. It seems to me that he and Mythal weren't in the best of terms by the time she was murdered (otherwise I think she would have revealed herself to him after he woke from uthenera, but she didn't, so I'm under the impression that Flemythal didn't trust Solas very much) I still believe that even if she was better than the rest of the Evanuris, Mythal didn't quite agree with Solas rebellion. Or maybe she pushed him to do it, I don't know. Anyway, I think they cared deeply for each other but something they deeply disagreed upon tore them apart. And I suspect it's why Abelas wouldn't join Solas to tear down the Veil. 

 

Then again, in WoT2 he's listed under Inquisition enemies, so who knows...

 

I'm more and more convinced that Solas was a spirit summoned by Mythal to be her guardian. Maybe he was the Left Hand of Mythal, and he went where she couldn't as Leliana did for the Divine. I agree with Anariel that he probably was a Wisdom spirit that ended up as Pride, or somehow has a Pride side to him like his wolf form suggests. I don't know if any of you played The Wolf Among Us, but Solas reminds me a lot of Bigby (probably because the Fen'Harel myth is strongly based on the Big Bad Wolf figure): he wants to do good, but nobody ever believes his good intentions because he has such a reputation, and there is a deep part of him more true to his bad reputation than he wants to admit.

I agree. Abelas most likely will seek out those other ancient elves after he has left the Temple. Because where else would he go and what else would he do right after the events at the Temple?

Isn't WoT2 like codex entries? You know you can't trust it completely because somebody has written it and how that person views the world will influence that person's writing.

I think it must be like you said that Solas has good intentions but people don't believe him because he has a bad reputation and there must be some kind of truth in how he got his reputation. Poor Solas.

Since now is Halloween I started to think whether Abelas would participate in that and would he get dressed at all at somebody. I think he might not get dressed at all because he seems to be so serious that he might not even want to participate in that or he might get dressed as a slave or as a priest because he is one. However I would love to see him as a pirate

It was a letter talking about the Band of Three (those people whose codexes you found around Kirkwall) It said that one of the things they were researching was the possible connection between the Forgotten Ones and the Forbidden Ones and whether they were actually the same. I know this one is old, but hear me out. Maybe Fen'Harel was one of them (maybe the Formless One? I know, that one is old too), but for some reason Mythal offered him becoming her guardian in exchange for not being exiled. The rest of them forsake their body forms as the codex in Vir Dithara says, but Mythal convinced him to take a form as Cole suggests. That could explain Abelas attitude towards Solas: he's not only one of the "bad pantheon", he also betrayed the opportunity given to him of being part of the Evanuris by rebelling against them.
