I wouldn't know, but I did bring Cole to the temple on my PT.

This is absolutely gorgeous.

 

I remember not paying much attention to Abelas on my first playthrough beyond 'grumpy ancient elf with lip gloss', but that has since changed after browsing the forums and reading fan writings. You people stop converting me!

I believe there was some confusion hope this clears it up now!

I am aware both cards carry my envision of him so it may not fit with everyone's likes and all - so sorry if any of you would imagine different Tarot/concept for him. We know too little of his person to really get 100% clear view.

Actually, if you craft the Enlightened Warrior armor for the Arcane Warrior it gets all the extra goodies(hoods, shoulder pads etc).

 

What is this about? You can craft Abelas' armor or something close to it in the game? Or, is this limited to the multi-player?

Yes, sadly it is an MP only armor sigh, really annoys me that the MP characters get better looking armor.

 

Maybe we should bug Bioware about releasing a DLC version of Abelas' armor for use in the single-player version. They should make a cool armor pack!

It is originally a rogue armor which schematic should be in hissing wastes to buy. I still not figured out though how can I add different class armors to the character but I know it is possible. I just dont know how. 

 

I clearly remember that armor because I loved it and when I drew my own inquisitor I even studied its structure which was quite complex and difficult and this was my favourite rogue outfit never took it off ever again :'D

I have purchased those patterns from the Hissing Wastes vendor on my warrior and mage.  It looks like that on both of my Inquisitors.  You can use snowfleur leather and silverite to get past class restrictions.  But these patterns are available in all armor types, not just the rogue one.

 

This is how it looked on my warrior. I made it with stormheart because I liked the color.  Sorry for the derpface.

I didn't know this schematic existed! I need to go back to that merchant, then. He has a cute Mabari puppy who helps you if you have to fight spiders. So cute.

I'm sorry to be double-posting, but I just went through the Temple of Mythal for my 2nd playthrough and solved all the puzzles, unlike my 1st playthrough. I got Abelas to help me deal with Calpernia and then I went over to look at the Elvhen archers who were standing behind us in that large hall. I never realized that they are ginormous! And, by that, I mean super, super tall. I even went to go help them fight the Ventori before going outside to confront Calpernia, and one of them was a friggin' giant. He looked like a really skinny basketball player with a huge maul slung over his shoulder. I kept reading recently about how the ancient elves were supposedly tall, but I really didn't see it until just tonight. They are like nearly as tall as the Qunari! 

 

I just can't tell if Abelas is really tall. Since you only see him in cutscenes, the perspective is impossible to change (unless one has fly-cam, but for that, one needs the PC version, I'm assuming). I did see one ancient elf standing only about as tall as Solas or a human, though all the others seemed to tower over even Dorian.

 

P.S. In my playthrough, they were all walking around as if they were really slowed, like swimming in water. If you pushed against them, they started moon-walking, lol!

source: I made abelas in my abelas x solas fanart taller and therefore is correct. 

 

edit: In seriousness, There is a scene of morrigan killing Abelas, point blank stabs him. So if morrigan has the body model of a standard human. So he can't be much taller. I'm going to guess he has a standard elf body. Solas' body is slightly unique due to being a human mesh but still thinner.
