I totally agree! Write write write! there can never be enough! The more ART and FIC Abelas gets the more exposure the more attention. Remember when Cullen was just a random npc? Then people cared and made art. They cared so much they gave him a new start. We could do the same for Abelas! So do the thing if you are inspired to!

There is just something about Abelas that made me stand up and take notice when I first saw him. I was like, hmmmmm, if he was a romance option I might dump Solas for him. I don't usually do that with NPCs that we don't spend much time with. I guess it was a combination of his good looks and quiet mysterious confidence. Sigh. I need a fan. Or a cold shower. Maybe both.

It means that I was thinking what it would be like to be sitting in a Dalish camp with Abelas next to the fire. Whenever I think of Dalish camps, I think of campfires and lots of sexy elven hunters wandering around. Really, it's like a kid in a candy store. But seriously, Dalish camps always comes across as intimate setting except for the smell of Halla That was what I meant.

The regular people who were reviewing have stopped. I expected that after Trespasser. I suspect Angel will drop again some time. But you know... that's how it goes. And I had only been to that site to read the "Her Lion" fic by...  yeah, I can't remember.  (Edit:  TheMightyZan)  That's when I was only in love with Cullen because I hadn't met yet Abelas.  I highly recommend that story as well as yours, Babelas.

I'll have to say that some things are puzzling me. First Dorian suggest to Abelas that he should go to Tevinter to teach the elves. Ok. I think it's implied that the next DA game will happen in Tevinter. He might go there to do that. But then there are those Tirashan elves. Maybe Abelas took detour and went there to fetch a big book and then he went to Tevinter to teach those elves.

Solas also seems to give hints that maybe there are places where Abelas could go. Ok. Then there are strange elves in Tirashan. Most likely Solas has his people somewhere. Hopefully Abelas didn't listen to Solas and he went to Tevinter or maybe Abelas went to Tirashan where Solas' people are and then he noticed that no this is not a place for me and then he went to Tevinter because he didn't like those elves in there.

Then of course there is the whole geas thing. Hmm. Maybe Solas just wants that Abelas will join his people and Dorian wants that he will go to Tevinter but because those people are still bound to Mythan she will decide that first they will go to Tirashan to fetch some more sentinels and then they go to Tevinter to recruit all the slaves.

Life is great today! My hubby is finally on his way home, I dropped 3 lbs even with an injury that prevented me from working out for a week and I'm about to put on DA to play my new favorite Lavellan.

Started to play DA:O. Got to Ostagar but was kicked out of PS3 by an anxious teenager. Damn...playing as city elf.

I don't know. Devs were all about Rivain at a convention. Inky stabbed the map near the name Solas which happens to be near Tevinter. So I am uncertain where we are headed next. Depending on companions this time around, I'm undecided about going.

 

Here is the weird thing... many people believe Solas is recruiting Abelas when he speaks to him in elvish. Then why did we not see him with Solas? I'm still on the fence about whether Abelas would support Solas or not. Abelas goes where Mythal tells him. No one ever said Mythal was happy about giving up her power to Solas and losing her body because of it. No one knows Mythal's objective. I think some times it is a bad idea to associate Abelas and Solas because I think it might get misleading. Abelas is still bound to Mythal. His duty is over but he is bound. Solas doesn't have the power to control Abelas and we have no idea what Mythal has in mind. I need answers!

 

It's funny Tirashan is mentioned. The other odd thing about that is that Tirashan is in Orlais not Tevinter or Rivain. So why mention it at all? It may be setting something up for Abelas. That's my long term hope. More priests, more Elvhen, more bad *ass fun. I think you can take every forest on the map and probably assume there is a temple at the center of it. I suspect Arlathan forest has something amazing hidden away in it. It better have!

 

I think if Abelas were going to join Solas he would have done it by now. No... I think Abelas has other plans and they are Mythal's plans. Some day I'll have to consider what it would mean if Mythal and Solas are working together. I'm still not sure that they have the same goals.

Is your hubby in the military, by chance?  I know that feeling, mine was deployed twice.  Even if he is not, I'm happy that your mate is returning to you.  And losing weight with no effort (when you want to) is always nice!  

 

I'm having a strange day today.  Head not quite on straight, shoulder threatening to burst into pain, and wanting to play DAI through to the end, finally, but I cannot decide on which to play first:  Cullen or Solas romance?  I only play Lavellans.

 

I mean, DOG  (I love dogs beyond all sense in this world, oh yeah, the handsome cuddly man too -- now with a chest hair mod  \o/ ) vs ELVEN GOD (even if he buggers off, I still think we'll be able to redeem him eventually).

 

Then there is the fact that I found out that the mod that gives maleLavellan a nice body works through the romance scene, I have added him to the list.  But you know the first full playthrough is always magical and maybe this guy needs to wait.

 

Argh.  I start a game, get to Skyhold, and then go "Oh maybe I should play the other one".  Then I get pissed off and delete both.

He used to be military. He's been out for about a decade now. He's in the states right now doing some training. I'm the one overseas for a change. We moved to Abu Dhabi last year for his job. It felt a bit weird being alone in a foreign country in the middle east for a month but I managed! He's coming home on Thursday. The puppies and I are excited! And, yes, I'm a dog lover as well!

 

So, I'm actually playing both a Trev Archer Cullen romance and a Lavellan Mage Solas romance simultaneously. I started the Trev so that I could make different choices, played her for awhile, missed romancing Solas, started my new cannon Lavellan for Solas and I'm playing both. I'll probably finish the Trev first and my new Lavellan will be my final cannon play through.

 

Sorry to hear about your shoulder! I injured mine as well but it's finally starting to heal!

..that Mythal doesn't have "control" over anyone anymore. I say this only because in Trespasser my inq. who drank from the well of sorrows, spoke to the elven spirit guardians to get through without harming them and the resulting info made me think. ( now you might say "oh well! your magic well power is elven! it works on elven stuff!" but the dialogue suggests that the inquisitor is confused by the fact that her Mythal gift just spouted some Fen'harel knowledge. So while i hope Mythal is still present in some form i'm beginning to think you know who controls those under Mythals geas now. (please don't hate me!)

 

as for the Tevinter and Tirashan  stuff i have no idea still trying to decide what i think  on that. But I love the idea of Abelas being amoungst those "strange elves" 

 

EDIT: As far as what Solas said to Abelas in the Temple of Mythal. I do not think he was recruiting him. I did a bit of translating using the wiki DA Elven.

It sounds like to me Solas is telling him that his duty is over. He's being dismissed.

I don't think Abelas would have followed Solas volutarily or at least not happily. Maybe if he wouldn't have any other place to go he might have gone to some place where Solas' agents are.

I used to think or more likely wanted to think that those who were bound to Mythal are now bound to Solas because I think it would have been very interesting  for romanced Lavellan to be bound to Solas because that way he couldn't have get away from her and it would have been his fault . But now. I'm more worried about Abelas if he is bound to Solas because it seems it's not safe for him to be around Solas because of his plan.

As to Mythal I think she has been shoving history into the direction where she wishes it to go because she has no bigger power to do more. On the other hand perhaps she has the power but she would not want to show it be4 all her traps close? Who plays who?

I did today when i realized it would make sense and he'd have a better chance of seeing it if there were more than one tweet. I just didn't understand twitter.

I'm laughing at the strong wrist comment and the fact he has been locked up in a temple for a thousand years. I know... it's just sad. I thought they were for deflecting attacks? I have no idea.

At a guess I'd say that is because we are dealing with the knowledge of those priests who left their essence in the well over countless ages, they would know about Fen'Harel. He was Mythal's protector and friend. But I get where you are coming from. I still believe that the godhood (the actual mythal wisp) went to Morrigan and that is who will have the power to control them. At least I hope so... I think? None of it sounds great. I would be heartbroken if the sentinels were forced to protect anyone against their will. 

 

Ah Abelas is strange. Strangely gorgeous. Amiright? Don't humor me people

 

Hmmm... interesting. So maybe Solas doesn't want to involve the sentinels. Now see... that brings me back to what was Abelas to Mythal? Simply a slave? A servant? A lover?  ugggggg makes my head hurt. Y'all are still grossed out about my Morrigan theory I so have my troll smile on. Daddy elf.
