Someone finally drew him smiling!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

 

 

After finally getting to the effing Arbor Wilds again on a patch 1 pt, I can say with certainty that Abelas sounds like he wants to slap Solas. It sounds like he tried to do so with his words. The knee caps would just murder each other. It had been some time since I had played the Arbor Wilds part and I was surprised at how much I didn't remember. The Arbor Wilds are beautiful and that waterfall? So adding a scene to my story with Abelas bathing in it. What killed me is how much I had forgotten the sound of Abelas's voice. It is one of the hottest in the game and I'm not just saying it because it's Abelas. 

 

Anyway, two days later and I'm ready to fly cam. SS you still want errr shots? I have to do a 360 head shot so I can model him accurately but I can attempt a rear shot

 

I will also say that this being my first Adaar pt that I didn't get any weird vibes from Abelas. He was just kind of fussy and straight to the point and a bit closed off. But it felt like a business chat really. I don't get the hate he receives. I really don't. I say to anyone who has a low opinion to go back and play that scene as something other than an elf trying to be his bestie. He seems normal to me, I think it's hard to sometimes remember anything other than the negativity. He did some positive things too like give you a guide, help you fight, warned you about the well and he gave some insight. What else was he supposed to do??? I mean.. I wanted him to strip but I think he was a bit bummed about the well so you know... not great timing.

I tried to view them on my Ipad and my pc. They are both fairly new so there's probably some update or something I need to download to get it to work. Love the new pics you posted though!

Ah thanks Maia! I just love his long hair. Do you people think he would look better with blond or silver hair? I can't decide. Blond seems to work better with his eyes but silver seems to be popular. 

 

I agree Tielis. By the time Lavellan gets to the temple she's been spoiled rotten by Solas. Abelas is tough love manifested in golden armor with knee cap attitude. But really, he isn't that bad. I do want to know why he is angry with Solas.

I have very hard time imaging Abelas without his cowl. I have no idea. Can I say dark brown? I will say it or maybe I won't. Forever bald. Too many possibilities! Maybe he is red haired.

These were wonderful to log in to! Especially today.. its gonna be a tough one.. but that smile and those cuddles seem to help. I look forward to your adventures in flycam! Maybe Abelas is just DONE with his ancient elven god overlords so thats why he's a bit snippy with solas?

What is wrong with you?  I did get some ummm buttage shots but they are sooooooooo extremely close. What made me laugh was the little strip of chainmail that runs between his buns. Quite funny. I will say this: these are not flattering shots. They aren't meant to be because I need his profile shots etc. But if you want to see some of them through the hood let me know. Everyone was is bald in DAI when you have a hat or hood on even Inky.

Aw thanks silent mostly Rampaging 3 year old plus difficult adulting decisions with a extra helping of stress. It'll pass! Chain mail thongs might help. I think people are also a bit sick of the whole "NOT MY PEOPLE" thing that gets directed toward the Dalish Inquisitor.  Between the game world in general pooping on the Dalish, Sera's weirdness, Solas's extra-weirdness, and now Abelas being his wonderfully grumpy self, it can get a bit old.

 

(I don't blame Abelas at all for his attitude, I just think it's also reasonable for Lavellan to be like, "Srsly bro what  ")

I feel your pain. People told me two was trouble. NO! It's three. I love my daughter but when she was three I wanted to kill her. On top of that, I have the worst mother-in-law in the history of them. I guess most people say that. But mine... grrrrrr. It does get better. I promise. *hugs*

I think that's what happens to elf ears when you put a hood on an elf. It's to keep the ears from poking through. Because when I imported his heads (he is made up of three of them.) They had ears but they also had a special mesh for the sentinels that did that to their ears.

Now that I'm messing around with hair mods, I think the ancient elves had the right idea.  Bald is beautiful.  Hair and elf ears are a horrible, clipping mess.  It certainly would have detracted from Abelas's glorious golden gravitas if I'd been wondering during that whole scene, "But WTF is up with your EARS?!"
