It's fine! I'll just go stare at fanart until things get better.  I believe he's just giving orders to the others. He says Venavis(sp?) When you first enter and that seems like an order for the sentinels to hold their weapons. I think Masal din'an was used as an order to kill us.  You are welcome! Have fun writing! Edit: The last thing Abelas said in this path is: "Mythal Sulevin" Sulevin means certain/purpose. What was he trying to say? It would make sense if he said Mythal Suledin but he didn't and I just don't know what he's trying to say there.

 

Could Mythal Sulevin (Mythal's purpose)  just be an old mantra of his? Did Mythal reveal something to him in that final moment? 

As he slumped forward his magic seemed to separate from his body (head), was that his gaes being lifted? His spirit leaving? IDK! 

 

I do know that he fell near the well. and when morrigan/inq drinks from the well it sort of explodes, sending waves of water out of the well and onto the area surrounding the well. Which means Abelas either dead or mortally wounded was covered in magical water. MAGIC WATER! Maybe it has the ability to save him. I am just grasping at straws! I want him to be okay!!! 

I want to believe that "Mythal Sulevin" means that he didn't actually die. Maybe it was used to separate his spirit from his mortal body and if it's said (perhaps this requires some spell as well) before the death then this person can be resurrected.

 

Mythal/Flemeth can be resurrected and I believe that this is something that ancient elves knew how to do it or at least the gods knew about it. I think it would make sense that the elven gods used this kind of magic in their time and that made them so powerful because if somebody wanted to kill one god then they would have to also destroy items which were used to resurrect that god. I also think that Mythal was killed because somebody was able to destroy all of her items that were used to resurrect her. Anyway if gods could resurrect themselves then there is a possibility that Abelas could be resurrected as well. He was a leader of the sentinels so maybe those ones had also the privilege to be resurrected.

Feeling down today but going to offer some extra thoughts to all these lovely thoughts

 

Chances are Abelas could do the whole dragon thing too since people now believe the high priests could change into high dragons. It's entirely possible Abelas is alive in a different form. It's also entirely possible his spirit went back to the Fade, which was his original home, and he can manifest himself again like Cole. That is why i suspect the Elvhen are not so easily destroyed. I think Mythal must have been murdered in such a way that she was prevented from manifesting again. Her spirit must have been reduced as well, because if these spirits learned to go from spiritual to physical then the loss of the physical body shouldn't stop them from manifesting again. All a guess but it makes sense in my brain o.O

But I'm extremely unhappy about something Bioware related and I have no idea if I should even bother talking about it. I'm just ready to give up on Abelas for DA4 because I see how it is on twitter and I see how it is that we get ignored. So what's the point?

There is always a chance that they are actively staying away from the topic of the sentinels and Abelas for now, maybe because they have something up their sleeves? maybe because they just haven't decided how or why to bring him back, yet and don't want to give false hope? I know David Gaider said he was working on the new book, there is always a chance he could make an appearance. I lose hope sometimes too, but then I remember the Cullenite folks and hope.  Death isn't always a permanent thing in Thedas. And Abelas is much too interesting for them to just throw away.  *hugs*

It's more likely that 1) the tweet got lost in the shuffle or 2) SPOILERS!

The devs get tons of fan tweets all the time, and they never respond to all of them. I highly doubt they didn't respond because they're deliberately ignoring you or think of you as "less worthy" of a reply. I also doubt there's some kind of sinister conspiracy against fans of one character at the expense of another; people have been suspecting developers of that since forever, and it's almost never true.

You are not less of a fan or less worthy because you like Abelas. None of us are I have no idea why Abelas tweets didn't get answers. Is that common? Is it just bad luck that he didn't answer to those tweets?

Sable gave a great response to why they are/might be going  unanswered.  I don't think it should discourage you guys from tweeting the devs  now or in the future. One day it may get seen. That's not to say we should harass them continuously until we get something, that would be a very bad idea. But gentle pressing for info every now and then and hoping to be seen isn't wrong.

Michel can die. Where is the uproar? I'm not stupid and I'm not one for mindlessly accepting something just because. So the question was first responded to with spoilers and then taken up by the writer. I never expected the tweets to be answered but I also didn't expect anyone else's requests to be answered. I hate it when they do this. I know I'll get over it. I feel passionately about this and I can't help that it annoys me. Sorry.... time for me to crawl back in my cave me thinks.

Maybe we have been blessed with an over abundance of "but they can dieee" trolls and they haven't made it onto the Michel fandom yet? (The trolls are clearly just jealous of the thighs.) Or it could be a forum vs twitter thing..more trolls here less over there? Possibly all participating in that convo were fans of Michel so they wouldn't feel the need to bring up the "he can die" issue?. Idk I haven't seen the tweet. 

 

Edit: As to why they may have chosen to answer that tweet instead of any other tweets. I can only guess. They could have any number of reasons. My guess would be Michel's story could be slowing down, so they might not have to guard him so closely,  answering stuff about him may be no big deal. He's a full character, and while Abelas is also present in Thedas he's more than likely not a completely fleshed out character. Possibly Spoilers?

I have seen two tweets about Michel and two answers from PW. But I think those tweets were send before Trespasser so I would assume that now it's not the best time to send tweets to him because I would assume that many people want to contact him now that they have played Tresspasser. I think after couple of months or maybe after six months when a lot of people have moved on there might be more chances for getting an answer from him.

 

What comes to Michel and why most people seem not to be against bringin him back. Well. I think the chances for seeing him again are quite slim so I would assume that most people know that and that's why they don't bother to post to those threads about him. What comes to Abelas. I think there are more chances for seeing him again so I would assume that those people who don't like him or don't like characters to be resurrected are more active expressing their views.

 

Well. This is just something that I think about the whole thing. Maybe I'm wrong. Who knows.

OK.  I promise I'm not trying to provoke you.  I just really don't understand.

 

Why do you believe characters are a zero-sum game?  In other words, why does a response about one character automatically detract from a different character?
