So what ? We should just shut up and assume it's normal ?

Shut up? No, absolutely not. Assume it's normal? Yes, because it is. That doesn't make it right, but it's common.

It's mostly sad seeing games like COD, Pokemon, Assassins Creed or Fifa selling millions and games like Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, DAI selling just well.

I hate humanity, I swear people are brainless even if it's your money and you re doing whatever you want with it

It's kinda harsh to call people who don't like what you like brainless.

Dragon Age inquisition Released on November 18 in NA and 21 in rest of the world, That means it was selling for 10 days in November so Yes It is not in the top selling game list of NOVEMBER. maybe we have see the bestselling game of DECEMBER. And RPG's generally sell a lot less than most other action oriented genre for being somewhat niche
So yes.

I am surprised nobody pointed this one out yet. OP posted a chart of best selling game of NOV. but Inquisition pretty much came at the end of NOV. and I know may people didn't buy first week waiting for a review, I don't know if the chart include Preorders, DAI will sell a lot more duing Holidays and I am sure being GOTY would boost it's sell too. I think as long as the fans want a sequel and support BIOWARE we would see many sequels.

Buying the same game filled with bugs and glitches every year for 70 bucks I m sorry it's brainless in my opinion.

1, 2, 6, 9, & 10 are what concern me.

With 4 and 8 coming in a close second.

Pokemon?  I don't know what to do with Pokemon.  It has Michael Vick written all over it, but that's what a layman can tell.

I agree a bit though. AC, huge price grab, is a loadpot filled with unexcusable bugs. Madden, NFA and FIFA are the same game reskinned and rebranded.

Ah...I hate to be the one to say this, but coming off DA2 it's not really a given :)     Skyrim came off Oblivion, and GTA 5 off GTA 4. Both were well north of 90 MC I think.

I'm happy to see the developers acknowledge the flaws in their game. DA2 has a lot of problems with it, but instead of ignore it, you guys learn from it and tries to fix it with DAI seeing as there aren't repetitive caves and such. Anyway, I'm just glad that the game is at least selling well from EA's perspective. Seeing as how this game required more resource and time than DA2, I believe it needs to earn more in order to generate a profit for EA and Bioware. I do hope it happens as I want to see another game being made after DAI. I'm curious about the North part of Thedas and hope to learn more about it in the next game.

The thing is AC is becoming worse and worse every year, just look at Unity, filled with bugs, boring story, lazy gameplay, basically the same old crap and terrible framerate dropping at 15 FPS etc etc.

I don't understand how can someone support something like this and say "it's ok take my 70 bucks ubi go ahead" when great games like DAI are released at the same moment.

Not really. It's one thing to like complex games in your youth, it's another to like complex games when you're in the workforce where your boss stresses you out, your work colleagues are horrible people, your job eats away at your soul, you have money problems up the kazoo and all you want to do when you get home is chill/veg.

Bioware will continue making rpg's for a long time, it will take alot for EA to shut it down or anything similar. Look at Dead Space, it is a great franchise, but it didn't sell insanely well. Still it had decent critics, a good team behind it and they got a trilogy out. At this moment Bioware got Swtor, Mass Effect 4(other title), DA:I just out, a new franchise we've yet to hear alot about? Seems like the studio is going strong. Why worry?.

Lol I m not a kid I m an adult and I don't have this problem. So you re saying when you have a hard job and a boss who is an ass you should play COD and not DAI ? ^^ You can chill and relax with DAI too.

Dude, do you even know anything about Pokemon? When you dig down, it has more strategic complexity than any Dragon Age game, or any other CRPG I've ever played for that matter. Also, most of its sales were probably to the target audience, which is children. I don't think nine-year-olds should be playing Inquisition instead.

Don't mind me, though. I'm still trying to get Hyper Rank on this stupid Battle Test with my Mega Absol.

Well, DA2 only sold 555,000 in its first week world wide, and DAI sold more than double that. So, I think we'll probably see a sequel.

Yeah I played Pokemon before, and no this supposed complexity is exaggerated.

But I agree that a 9 years kid should play Pokemon instead of DA or even The Witcher.

It depends on when the last time you played Pokemon was, because they haven't always had this kind of content.  Even then, you need to actually try the content, because it's optional.

I agree that it's cause to worry.

Top 10 total US retail sales for the month of November.

Inquisition apparently couldn't even move 600K.

But over 1+ million in UK

I have seen people on this forum complain we don't have enough communication from Bioware since the release, can you blame them?

Look at this thread which started with some one's worries about sale so a Bioware employee turned up stating that sales were going very well but 3 days and 13 pages later people are still predicting the death of Bioware. It must feel like they are banging their heads against a brick wall.

I'm also constantly surprised to see how many people are surprised Inquisition isn't outselling the games on that list.

Call of Duty, and Sports Games are basically a formula of one game released twice with minor upgrades. Then an enhancement with the next game only for the cycle to repeat. More so Call of Duty though.

Pokemon always has its dual releases. It's smart in a way. Gives choices, encourages people playing with one another.

Super Smash Bros....did anyone ever doubt? This game sells consoles.

Far Cry 4. No big knowledge on this series but hear alot about the graphics. Graphics sell.

Assassin's Creed and Halo are big name brands, like the rest of the list.  Halo has several games in it remastered alongside I think online play. Assassin's Creed is...eh. Assassin's Creed.

If I had to place Inquisition on theeere....4 or 6.  Either it beats the most popular version of Pokemon or it doesn't.

The devs have communicated enough in the appropriate threads. Anything else they say can and will be interpreted negatively. There is no point.

I have seen a dev literally post only these words,  "I'm glad you guys are enjoying the game," and I watched it get twisted to, "We demand you play our game and bow to EA."  Then from many of these same people, cue large amounts of insane insults, and folks forgetting that the devs aren't puppets for our amusement and our abuse.

I can't blame a lot of the devs and most of the writers for not wanting to post on the BSN very much.  The term "shark tank" definitely comes to mind.

No, nowhere near that. I said compete, not beat. 4 million sales would be pretty disappointing for a 4 year investment and all the marketing and such, I think. They directly aimed for that exploration-focused market, they dropped Skyrim into half the early previews, they upped the time and development cost quotient considerably. I would think selling about what the first two games did would be seen as disappointing.

They spent 60-70 million making and marketing the game and sold http://www.vgchartz....ne-x360-ps3-pc/1.14 million ($60-$119 each depending on your country of origin) before the game was even released in the southern hemisphere. So they were in profit territory a long time ago and all they really need do is hit the 2 million mark and they're smiling.
