Ive bought Inqiuisition but will not buy next DA (Yes, PC), yet EA considers my case a success at this point so there is really nothing to see here.

You'll just have to wait to stick it to them. Remember, revenge is a dish best served cold, and by the time the next one comes out any revenge should be extremely cold at that point since it has been sitting out for so long.

Well i think the day Bioware announced this game was going to be release in 2014 it became GOTY for many at that moment without knowing enough information about the final product (result of hype). People got fed up with the advertisement and a lot of people bought the game who would not have if they knew what it actually became. I am talking about the PC version. It will be interesting to see if PC players adapt to the changes (and i am not talking about the bad port controls only) and keep buying it. I am interested what they are going to do with ME franchise though.

EDIT: Btw not giving them even more money does not feel like revenge, They milked me already. Mooo!

How is that different from someone buying DAO and not liking it, but people using that sale as proof of DAO's popularity?

PC player here. I hope the next ME will be as controller friendly as DA:I. Playing ME3 after DA:I, I am missing the controller support and the lack of jump (The Cover-Jump is not very smooth)

All those games have one thing in common. They're kids games.  And few are popular with female gamers.

Don't think GTA is a kids game? Try playing the multi-player!  :D

I would be very interested to see the demographics for DAI, but I'm guessing the average age is higher than for COD etc.

BW make exceptional games, not always perfect, but for those that know, they beat all the dross on the top 10 list.

Bio lost many old fans after DA2, ME series and there arent enough new.

Sure DA:I not bad one but it has terrible combat system for a old one than me and others.

They are trying to find a middleway. But there is no middle way.

It was a great tactical rpg and Bio killed it and now They dont have enough new supporter to replaces old ones.

Otherwise  from DA:O was sold about 5 million copies it never be same.

Beth has more lucky they never had similar fans than Bio had.

So i think it is a crossroad. EAware have to decide about future and i have no doubt that they will choice.

Then i dont have to buy any Bio game in the future.

What's kind of comforting about these threads is their sheer predictability.

I don't see anything in there about actual sales numbers.

NPD doesn't give out specific numbers AFAIK, just what sold the most in the given period.

A bit disheartening that DA:I once again failed to make it to the top ten.

Without hard numbers, rankings are just dick-measuring. I guarantee you EA cares more about number of copies sold than whether other games sold more or less.

Inquisition didn't outsell FIFA, Smash Bros., and COD over the holidays. I'm shocked.

Yeah, I guess it's not a surprise at all. Still, two months in and not making it to the top ten is a bit of a downer.

I'm the proud owner of absolutely none of those games on the top 10 lists.

2014 - what a god awful year for gaming.

Do people really think that only 10 games sell well in any given month?

Or that ranking determines how much profit a game makes?

Didn't Destiny cost some unheard-of amount of money to make? Aren't over half of the top 10 ranked games sequels to franchises that have loyal followings?

Am not I asking obvious questions?

Look at the games on the annual list. Inquisition was never, ever - EVER - going to outsell the games on that list. Three shooters, three sports games, a kitchen sink game, two casual games, and an action/adventure game.

Top ten charts are nothing more than a measure of general gaming trends, and skew heavily toward shooters, sports, and casuals.

I only see one good game on that list and it's GTA V although I will agree that DAI did bomb a little bit.

funny how your gif that you constantly use describes your state of mind perfectly

what a sad life you must have that you have to constantly come to these forums only to tell us how much you want the DA series and Bioware in general to fail just because you hated Inquisition

Same here. My gaming library consists mostly of RPG with a topping of Star Wars (what little there is) and a light sprinkling of sports (baseball and golf).

I will never understand how Call of Duty sells so well. Same game every year and it's always in the top ten. Smh.

Madden, Call of Duty, & NBA outselling DA? I've lost faith in the gaming community. Apparently the games people like are the ones that don't change.

But people on here told me that DA:O sold five million copies!

Oh wait that's vgchartz's (lol) wild ass guess for lifetime sales and the game actually opened at 360k on the 360, weaker than any of the Mass Effect games.

Hi guys - obviously it's a drag not to see DAI on that top 10 list for November. I can't really give any figures of course...However, from what I know about the sales numbers (a) DAI is doing great and well ahead of it's predecessors, and a significant percentage of sales of DAI are digital and not tracked by NPD. If anything, I'm more worried about the weird signals this chart sends to the market about DAI, as opposed to the reality of our unit sales :)

I went digital as well. It's good to hear DAI is doing great though!:)
