I really hope the franchise ends. I wish the end of this game. I know it is selling A LOT, and will sell more than Origins for sure, but I really hope they spent like ten times more money making Inquisition and that 3 million copies mean FAILURE, I hope they were wishing at least 10 million, PLEASE GOD LET THEM FAIL.

Nothing would make me more happy than seeing developers crying in despair for losing their possibility to keep telling the Thedas story in AAA games would make me the most happy person in the story of the universe.

For what's worth EA will be releasing financial reports for third quarter fy2015 in 10 days or so (on Jan 27th). While they don't generally report sales volume in these, it might give you something tangible to argue about.

Yes actually. I'm not claiming that the level of discourse will rise to that of the Lincoln-Douglas debates. But having actual information to go on can't help but improve this this thread. Right now, most of the posts making definitive claims are simply baseless speculation.

I never said DAI will sell well. All I've ever said was that you don't know how to use sales charts - which you don't, since you're still using charts that aren't equivalent - and that you have an unhealthy obsession with the DAI sales numbers.

And I can only hope I do at least annoy some people. Even a bit. If I can inflict a little disconfort in anyone it is enough for me. But even if I don't i will keep trying. I have nothing else now, just pain.

 

Inquisition was a decent 7-8/10 game for me but now it gets 10/10 now solely for the discomfort it has caused you and others who hate it so much that they feel the need to come here and dedicate their life to trolling people.

 

I'm now going to pre-order the next Bioware game (again) because every release of every game they make seem to cause mass hysteria amongst a select group of people and with it, entertainment for people like me.

 

When I pre-order Mass Effect 4, I'll be thinking of you and I hope you remember this comment.

Inquisition isn't a last-gen game. The same happened to Shadow of Mordor for last gen console. Both games on last gen were poor ports of a next gen game.

 

People need to accept that "last-gen" is done and dealt with unless you want these poor ports. These people need to get new next gen consoles or get used to gaming on a PC instead.
