I am not to far just got to the camp at Redcliffe farms. I am debating on starting over this go around. I have yet to play The Keeper's First or a Qunari Mage.  So which race excluding Dwarf obviously is it the most fun to be as a Mage? 

 

Thus far I always been Human.

I enjoyed both human and qunari. Got unique dialogue for each of them throughout the game which was pretty cool.

Elves man, I love the dialog and the visual appearance of the [female] elf

I agree with Alyssa. Elves are the best for me... It makes elven artifacts and runes much more interesting from a roleplay perspective

I think being Dalish is intolerable, but there is a lot of elf-specific content in DA:I.

I really enjoyed my elf mage. According to Orlais, being an elf is a worse crime than being a mage.
