Until you put storage into the game. dropping gear that is 4 levels higher than any of my party is a waste of space, time and insulting. I don't have the room to carry it with me for 4 levels, so why bother? I can see 1 level higher.. maybe 2, but 4? I've found items that were 6 levels above me. That's just wrong.
So please, either add storage (which would be the easy thing to do - no messing with loot tables and such. Just add a chest in Haven and Skyhold) or drop gear that I can actually use in a couple of levels.
Since I'm sort of on the subject - why am I collecting tons of daggers? I have 1 (that's ONE) dual-handed rogue, and that's Cole. Right now, I have 15 daggers in my inventory just from running around. Granted, I can sell them (when I find a vendor - they aren't exactly common), but I don't need the gold (nothing to buy anyway). Which brings up another point - why is there nothing good to save gold up for and buy? Besides herbs and cloth, the gear is too low level for me once I get the gold to buy it. So just what is gold used for in this game?

PS: Where is my dog? Every DA game I've had a hound. Hs he lost, dead, stolen? Is there a quest at level 20 or something, for me to find one?
