Death is too easy.
depends how it is done. Slow cooking, impalement, crucifixion, the Iron Chair, the rack, being hung, drawn and quartered, being torn apart by horses, death of a thousand cuts...none of those are easy.

DAI is missing quite a lot vs DAO, DA2, ME trilogy, The Witcher series and other RPG's.
DAI is not a true RPG. Its an offline MMO. Its a hybrid of both and so fails on both levels which has cheesed me off immensely because RPG is my favourite genre and I was so looking forward to this game. My hope was that the issues with DA2 would be ironed out and it would be a combination of both DAO and DA2. Sadly we got neither.
There is a very short and disappointing story. There are too many characters which has diluted their role and presence within the story. The world is so big (and beautiful yes) and the story so small, but this has had the effect of filling it with meaningless quests that have no impact on the story or characters. So what's the point?
Huge amounts of DLC is needed to flesh out the story and characters, but even if this happens, why should we pay large sums of money to get something we should have got in the first place to make DAI a true RPG?
You could say the same about the Warden.
Why are people still following you in Origins? Because you're the main character and the one that is going to end the blight.
Why are people still following you in Inquisition? Because you're the main character that can close the rift.
Um....you can kill most of your party members to be honest in Origins. I killed Leliana and Sten and Zevran all in one playthrough.

Don't forget Wynne.
Anyways I think they should be setting the story up in such a way weather your a saint or vile bastard should be up to your personal preference.
Bioware prefer to give you grey choices instead of Black & White ones

It appears to be White and White if your opinion of Black is: "I'm a puppy-eating, baby-stomping, peasant-shanking misanthrope who's comically evil and needs bright spandex."
A lot of the "Evil" Decisions in this game are more realistic than in DA:O. Like someone pointed out a page or so ago: "Turning away the chantry sisters, Then shanking the merchant anyway".
Making someone Tranquil is something I'd consider far more evil than just straight-up killing someone. No matter how torturous you make it.
Taking away their magic, their emotions, everything that made them "Them". When you talk to the Tranquil in DA:I, a lot of them can't even remember *Why* they behaved or acted a certain way, or the event that caused it. It was like erasing their memories as well.
It makes them obedient, and utterly helpless at defending themselves, or even letting someone know they're being abused.
There's Evil for Evil's sake, then Evil because It makes sense.

I think you should perhaps read more history before making such claims about that being more realistic.
And the Tokugawa in Japan had Centuries of peace by forcibly making their Samurai's families live in the Capital for Collateral, assuring that they'd be killed if the Samurai thought of rebellion.
But look at their Empire, Cowed by the Atomic Bombs - and now blossoming as one of the largest (Most dense, I'd guess would be better?), most advanced nations in the world.
But that does not mean that Evil-for-it's-own-sake=Evil-for-pragmatism.
Walking around murder-knifing people in DA:O was asking for a (Proper) assassin to kill you out in the wilds while you walked around with Dog, and Alistair. Since you will have killed or driven away everyone else.
In Inquisition, you'd have gotten chopped from the get-go if you started painting the Inquisition as a ruthless band of thugs and killers. Because you were acting as an Agent before Haven. There's Letting the Empress die to put a moldable butt on the throne. Then there's Killing everyone there and saying "Lol Inquisition rules".
One is definitely DA:O Levels of Evil, the other is more realistic.

This game they gave us white and white
Your opinion of white is very strange for me. I played it through a few times, and I swear none of my chars were WHITE.
While evil is a very subjective term, pure black is just as impossible and unrealistic as pure white. It just doesn't exist in real life. There are idols of those such as the devil and the angels, or demons and spirits, but they don't actually exist in humans. Not in this form.

Since our definition of white and grey is so very different, and listing what all I think is not white, but more blackish doesn't change how you list white decisions, as we just can't agree on decisions being a certain colour, I am closing this on my part. We are arguing the color of the sky (which is blue, but at times grey and black and orange and pink and white and purple, so any of the statements would be correct).

William the conqueror had the leaders of a town flayed for resisting him, then ordered all the farm land and peasants in the north of england destroyed. His dynasty still rules. Alexius of byzantium was honorable and just, he was the last emperor.
If your talking about the current Royal family they are directly maternally also descended from King Alfred the Great and I would also point out that the Holy Roman Empire was founded by Charlemagne a man called the father of Europe and that all its emperors were all descendants of him.
Both Alfred the Great or Charlemagne could be considered Just and Honorable and they had a great and long lasting impact.

The closest thing that felt like what I mean in this game is Emerald Graves encounter with the Dalish and being able to desecrate the tombs.
I was amused at the Keeper's comment about this after desecrating the burial sites, after having full intentions to respect their wishes, only to abandon that idea entirely when the prospect of getting more loot presented itself.

Yeah the only thing I never liked about that quest was they put a mosaic tile in the tomb, I mean come on guys! So if I'm a dalish elf I have to desecrate a burial site of my own people if I want to complete the mosaic's? Where's my option of asking the Keeper if I can pay my respects to the dead inside the tomb and him giving me a key.
