I know of a few scenes (not including love interests) where you can sell your horned body for advancement....like so..
What other scenes? So far this is the only one i've seen, i am interested in hearing about more.

Yeah, If you're romancing Josephine then this quest would be a prerequisite for locking that in. So even if an established romance does lock you out of this option, we'd have to look at another example to know.
OP, you said you know of a "few scenes". What are the others?
