I'd put this in the what-are-some-things-that-could-realistically-be-done-that-would-improve-mp thread but this is actually a bit more than realistic, given how few resources BioWare is likely to commit to getting the DAMP banged to anything near resembling a modern multiplayer game. It would require a re-code on the input systems and new/edited dialog in supported languages.

Since this is unlikely to ever be acted on for DAMP, PLEASE Bioware, put this down in your future design documentation books. It will improve your future MP games and should not be left out. (like how Push to Talk and Text Chat should never be left out)

=====

Upgrade the current Voice Game System (over here, good job, fallback) with more options. Right now its just wasted space on the D-Pad expect for the "Over Here" ping.

"Fallback" is too varied between characters that the message isn't consistent and since its pure audio its easy to ignore/miss.

"Good Job" is very kind, but tactically useless with using Voice Chat (also text chat on PC since that needs to be a thing) to prearrange the meaning.

Reasonably this could be expanded to a two button press system.

Left, Right, and Down define a category of command. For example Down being positioning blinks.
"Over here", Down -> Down
"I have Aggro", Down -> Left
"Attack Here". Down -> Right

Right becomes general chat
"Good Job" (a.ka. Yes/Positive), Right -> Right
"Fall back" (a.k.a No/Negative), Right -> Down
"Wait" (a very clear difference from "Fall Back"), Right -> Left

This frees up Left for 3 totally new options, could even be Targeting related
"Attack this target" (puts marker, already works on PC BTW), Left -> Left
"Avoid this target", Left -> Right
"Crowd Control this target", Left- Down

Up now gets used as a "Cancel" button on voice commands, where as currently it isn't Mapped to anything in MP.

By using a two button press Voice Game System you triple the number of "commands" available and greatly increase the viability of non-microphone communication. This could even be considered an important Accessibility feature for people who are speech impaired. Likewise all of these should present some form of Text pop-up onscreen for those who are hearing impaired.
