I can't think of any conversations in fiction I like quite as much as the final mission briefing of StarCraft Brood War. The conversation @ 4:14 isn't bad either.

[Malcolm Tucker is walking by a sandwich shop when he sees Julius Nicholson inside.]
MALCOLM: Julius! You should try the chicken salad. If I'm lucky you'll get salmonella.
JULIUS: [points at Malcolm] Now that...[walks over]...that is amusing, Malcolm, that's very funny.
MALCOLM: Don't you have a little, sort of, "sandwich flunky", to get -
JULIUS: [interrupts] No, no, no, I like to, I like to see them myself...
MALCOLM: Right, yes.
JULIUS: ...feel the heft.
MALCOLM: Oh yeah. Of course, course you've gotta f***ing do that, haven't you? [gestures suggestively with his hands] Feel the weight of them.
JULIUS: Anyway, I see you're in the papers, Malc.
MALCOLM: [dismissively] I'm not in the papers.
JULIUS: Oh, you are in the papers, Malcolm.
MALCOLM: I'm not the story here, y'know? People are not interested in me.
JULIUS: Well, anyway, the PM has asked me to make a few key nodes aware of a change in his thinking.
MALCOLM: Right, yeah, of course. 'Cause you're chief of the nodes, aren't you?
JULIUS: [primly] I am the chief node.
MALCOLM: The Node of...Node-hogg.
JULIUS: And the Peter Mannion coal-face has rather made the PM accelerate his plans [for his resignation and handover of power].
MALCOLM: [suddenly attentive] In what way?
JULIUS: He's given me a date...a rather surprising date...
MALCOLM: And what is the date?
JULIUS: [grinning] Well, I - I can't tell you the date, Malcolm.
MALCOLM: Well, I need to know the date.
JULIUS: No, no - well, it's a surprising date.
MALCOLM: Well, what the f**k does that mean?
JULIUS: [interrupting] Well - [starts giggling]
MALCOLM: [continuing] The 39th of February? Flat-tember the 4th? 8 BC, what?
JULIUS: It means 'it is a surprising date' -
MALCOLM: Right...
JULIUS: - but it does also mean that the PM is going to announce the legacy, the Independent Immigration Service, on Friday.
MALCOLM: Friday. Three days' time.
JULIUS: Three days.
MALCOLM: So it's six months and three days, he's going to be gone - six months and three days, that's...
JULIUS: [irritably] Look, don't try to work it out.
MALCOLM: Yeah, look, I'm not hungry, I - I'll see you later, okay?
JULIUS: All right, buh-bye...
