I'm using the latest Nvidia drivers and Inquisition has been running fine so I'm not sure what you are talking about.

I've had 3 crashes in 120hrs with this game. I'd start looking closer to home if I were you.

I'm using a Nvidia card and had a few DirectX crashes before I turned off ambient occlusion. That seemed to fix the problem, and since I'm not really sure what ambient occlusion does, I can't say I missed it.

I'm using borderless windowed mode and have MSAA turned off if that helps.

344.80 run fantastic, zero crashes so far, and look amazing with no stutter.

3 in around 160 hours here. 4 playthroughs. Can't complain. I'm also using a GTX 660 SC without any issues.

You clearly haven't been to the news & announcements/tech support forums.

After Patch 2 & the hotfix I have not had any CTD issues where as before the patch I did occassionaly have them. So...yeah...maybe you need to run the update, install the latest Nvidia drivers or report a bug if you're still having these issues?

I've done all that. Tried lowering settings, running in windowed mode, etc. Updated and using the latest 344.80 drivers for my NVidia gtx 650. It's not just me either. They're tons of other users who report the same conflict(mainly with NVidia driver) posting in the other forums...pre and post patch. No response from bioware yet.

It always just strikes me as curious when things like this happen. You have some people that are having a "Nvidia crash bug", supposedly related to having a Nvidia graphics card/driver, yet you have a bunch of other people (like me) that are using Nvidia graphics cards with the latest drivers and experiencing little to no crashes.
One of the reasons why it must really suck to be the guys who are responsible for tracking bugs like this down.

Fairly sure that you should be running the 344.75 driver instead of the 344.80 driver for your GTX650. Are you manually downloading and installing drivers? If so, download the Geforce Experience and use it to manage your video drivers, instead. Hope this helps.

@ManleySteele I was using 344.75 to begin with and was crashing.

Then I don't know where your crashes are coming from. Hope you can figure it out. Good luck.

I am experiencing directX crashes here and there, but only during cutscenes, 344.75 driver / gtx 660.

I was getting these directX crashes before the patch and turned the option to upload to Dragon Age Keep under Accounts off as a last resort and it worked. After the patch I turned uploading to the Keep back on and started crashing again with the directX error. I turned the option off again and haven't had any more problems. Maybe that will help someone here.

I've got 2 GTX780ti's in SLI using the latest Nvidia driver (344.75, released 11/18/14) and have never had a CTD or black screen or freeze or stutter. I've never heard of a 344.80 driver. If you have the Nvidia GeForce Experience installed, it will tell you if your driver is up to date. It's also great for hassle free driver installation, as it will let you know when a new driver is available. My average frame rate isn't what I'd expect from my cards (avg FPS 48), but it's certainly smooth enough to play.
That said, SLI configuration makes no difference in this game at this time. I disabled one of my cards and had the same avg frame rate. Hopefully it's an issue either Bioware or Nvidia will address in the future.
Programs running in the background, especially anti-virus programs, can often disrupt gameplay, especially a new game that is not yet optimized. Other than that, I have no idea why some with Nvidia cards are having crashes and others are not.

Yeah well let me tell you something, pal,it sucks even more to be the Bioware fan who bought a computer in order to play this game (I bought the Inquisitor's edition for £100, not doing that again!) and to be utterly unable to play it! ![]()
