I've sank quite a few hours into DA now and a few bits have niggled at the back of my mind but one has stood out time and time again and in my mind its probably the smallest detail thats bothered me too.

When you wear a helmet (and I usually hide helmets because 90% are ugly) your hair is outright removed, I guess due to the resources that would be required to stop the hairstyles clipping. And you are given this god awful skin cap over your hair. This alone I could live with in most games.........

 

..... But damn you Bioware for adding hats I actually like that arent warrior only. Now I have these fantastic hats ruined by little pink flaps of pain. And yes I know how that sounds.

 

This post was more of a vent than anything, back to farming silverite and putting casters in plate so helmets don't look out of place.

ROFL. I feel your pain. I have little distractions, too. Like you, I don't get too worried about them, though. That would ruin the fun I am having playing the game. Too much to like to let a couple of warts make a fool of me.

Agreed. This is stupid. Just let them clip. 95% of the hairs are so short as to barely have the problem anyway, and it's not like there aren't a million other clipping issues there already.

 

Hasn't stopped me from outfitting my entire party with orlesian mage hats as soon as i picked up the schematic, but...yeesh.

I would have actually liked if we had more control when, how and on whom headpieces are shown. I want Cole and Vivs to show, including cutscenes all and every Cutscene. I never want to see one of the stupid hats on Varric or Sera. (and so on)

SWTOR's solution - give hats additional skullcaps/helmets

 

[Edit]Heh, now that I see the hats, I can see that is exactly what the OP is commenting on.
