The Qunari have no armor appearances, so no you can't look like the Arishok.

No it can be done, as far as facial appearance goes. Horns/eyes on the other hand is out of the question.

Won't be able to do it until later tonight. Don't worry, I'm not going to forget.

The Fanfic artwork for the Qunari especially the Female ones is very beautiful.  To bad more of it was not used.

No, not really. Iron Bull is the only exception, but most of the quanaris I've seen are pretty darn ugly. Qunaris looked really good in DA2, especially the Arishok.

T-their moms say they're handsome :crying:

The thing is, in DA2 the qunari all used the same set of models, and those models never needed to be altered since qunari were not a playable race.

In DAI, qunari are a playable race, and so they needed a model which allows for the greater customisation - the player needs to be able to look at the model and pull their cheekbones, push their lips, pinch their brows, etc.

This is most likely why qunari look much more human in DAI, because that way they can share skeletons and animations with humans, elves and dwarves.

Its a shame for those who really liked DA2's qunari, but personally I'm just grateful that I get to play as one at all.

Its not so much their facial features which are essentially the same as it is their body physique.

I agree with you, with one caveat. The general look established for the Qunari in DA 2 was perfectly fine, other than they "all" looked exactly the same. [Kossith clones?]

Bioware should have introduced a degree of variety with their Inquisition CC facial options, but instead they threw the baby out with the bathwater (just like they had done, when Sten's DA:O appearance was retconned for the next game.)

Doing something like this every time you issue a new game in the same franchise is beyond weird!!

Sten's appearance wasn't changed though, if I recall correctly.

He's still a hornless, golden-skinned, blue-eyed beast.

That looks pretty good. I think if I ever play a Qunari I'd try to go for that look.

Needs more pale - other than that (And the unfortunately absent Black Sclera) 9/10 for effectiveness. I made mine to resemble the one I've been drawing since I heard of Qunari in Inquisition. And short of not having the right facial hair, he's pretty spot on. Also looks like a "True Qunari" version of Sten.

Yeah I was going back and forth with the skin tone. Easily changeable though. I agree with the sclera, too bad Bioware didn't keep that touch with DAI's Qunari. Thanks.

I wonder what the design decision for this was - It's partially why I feel like I can't have a DA2 Qunari. Even if I can make a Very Sten-like Qunari with those violet eyes. Though it's in no way a deal breaker for me when playing them. My 2nd, and arguably longest playthrough is my 2H Qunari.

I'm assuming its just another thing they wanted to update/change with the new engine. IDK to be honest. Maybe they regretted that change in DA2?

Maybe, But it made them look Imposing as all Get-out. Though, kinda makes it hard for your PC to have actual emotions if they look like they've got Shark Feeding-Frenzy eyes.

I think this may have factored into it as well. But then again, they could have at least left the option there for players to decide.
