I just want new armors and robes for single players.  Goddamn.  I knew this was going to happen.

No, I haven't crafted "new" multiplayer armors because I haven't touched multiplayer and won't go near it after how incomplete the rest of the game is. No doubt I'll discover it's nonfunctional as well.

Definitely should spend more time on the forum discussing how much you hate a game that doesn't have a single player or multiplayer that is functional. Sounds like a terrific use of your time. I mean, why even get multiplayer a try since you've already decided how shitty the game is without even playing aspects of it.

I think this might actually be a good idea. People, from now, on we ABSOLUTELY MUST play the MP portion of the game. After all, most of the dumbing down of the SP experience came as a result of "streamlining" the whole game in order to accomodate the MP aspect for those that love online multi-player fests a la COD. Maybe MP is the TRUE DAI experience, given that just about every core gameplay element from the franchise has been decimated to cater to the taste of new fans, old loyal supporters be dammed.

How dumb of us to believe otherwise -_-

New means ADDITIONAL as in never before, so instead of trolling forums, go back to school instead of being an idiot who uses false gamer grammar, and twisting things out of context.

I'm not getting into debates with idiots who use gamer grammar.

New means something you haven't seen or done before.  Additional means something that you couldn't see or do before, because it was not there before.  Nowhere was a claim made, by EA / Bioware, that Additional armors had been added to DAI MP.  That was your interpretation and it is incorrect.  If you haven't already crafted an existing armor, then that existing armor is New to you as a player.  The only person who fails to comprehend that is you.  So, take your own advice and stop trolling the forums with your misplaced and unjustified rage.  The only thing anyone from EA / Bioware will do, regarding your ridiculous demands, is have a good laugh at your expense; along with the rest of us.

The problem with multiple, is the players themselves, the majority wants to rush through things. I have yet to be able to comprehend any part of the missions' stories, or even find out if anything is in the side paths. As far as I know, the goal of multiplayer is "run to the end, kill stuff, leave." That box in the corner is just a reminder that I'll never be interested unless some changes force players to slow the heck down, but, most likely, if that happens, you'll lose more people than gained.

Oh my!!!!!....I might have spoken a bit too soon....looks like MP is a veritable mess for more than just a few folks....some are posting their dissatisfaction right here on the forum. This must really suck..........Bioware could not even get the much touted MP portion of the game right. Though I must confess, fanboyrage is very entertaining to behold.

OP, your name is quite fitting, because you are clearly beyond confused. If you had ever even taken the time to look in multiplayer, you would realize that the characters shown in that picture were part of the game at launch. Speaking as someone who played the multiplayer today, I can tell you that nothing was added. New in this case means "any one of the multiplayer characters who isn't one of the three that are automatic open."

Normally if you are going to decide if something is functional or not you should try it. Nice snarky post that made literally 0 sense though my friend.

I've seen those very statements said in absolute seriousness by newer posters.   Forgive the caution; I wanted to comment on your rather humorous post, but I wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic or not.

I'll remember that for the future and a sincere (if belated) welcome to the forums.   It's usually not this crazy, but you gotta love any game forum just after a release.   ;)

I think this is an obnoxious advertisement that ruins an otherwise pretty cool looking title screen. I'm going to dc from the server and see if that removes it, I'll just stay offline if it does.

The begs the question, why put an advertisement in the game? Maybe the platinum isn't selling as well as ea would've liked?

Probably not. I personally don't think DA combat in general is very conducive to multiplayer...I can't imagine enjoying playing any of the DA games online. I think it's a lot easier for a FPS like Mass Effect TBH.

That combined with the only 3 maps and other problems people have had with it, I doubt it's selling much at all. I still think they would have put the ad there regardless though. If it is selling well it only gives them more of a motivation to increase exposure since in this theoretical case they know it's being received well.

I think you need to meet different female gamers then.   ;)

I miss being called a young woman, but alas, that's getting rarer and rarer these days.  I'm 35, and I've been playing RPGs since the mid-80s.

You know what, I would have LOVED to play the MP, just to see what it was actually like. Unfortunately, I  believed (for the last time though) Bioware's advertising and bought the Xbox 360 version of the game which turned out to be a total glitchfest, nevermind the horrible graphics and abismal loading times. So yeah....this is all just about venting rage, false sense of entitlement, etc.

I've been meaning to post this for a couple of days now so here it is:

I logged in a few days ago and found this on the title screen:

A1mc5m7.jpg

NEW ARMORS HAVE NOT BEEN ADDED TO MULTIPLAYER, SO EITHER REMOVE THAT MESSAGE, OR ADD THE ARMORS, THERE IS NO IN BETWEEN WITH THIS.

And to all you meatsticks who don't know how to comprehend what they read, and are going to reply with something stupid, the following message is for you:

That message on the title screen outright says there have been ADDITIONAL ARMORS added to multiplayer outside of the ones the game was released. So don't bother trying to manipulate the context because I won't respond to sh**t for brains who have no comprehension due to not staying in school.

except if you havent crafted it, its new to you, so when you craft the armor, youre crafting new armor.

this english lesson brought to you by the school for common sense.

It would in fact be very refreshing to meet more female gamers. Unfortunately, I don't know too many around my neck of the woods. And as for your age, don't worry. I am 37 myself and can definitely appreciate the intelligence of a 35 year old woman. Moreover, the fact that you are 35 and still love games tell me you still nurture that inner child that makes joy possible in our lives.

By the way, Natashina sounds like a lovely name :)

I'll never stop loving games.  I grew up in a gaming household, so I get it from both my dad and my mom.   My brother is also an avid gamer and his baby girl (almost 15 months now, where does the time go?!?) is already trying to mess with the controller.   My husband is a gamer as well, though we have different tastes.   :)

Thanks.  It's been a net handle of mine for a very very long time.

Edit: Just wanted to point out that BioWare probably had little to no say about this ad/reminder/annoying pop up ending up in the Main Menu.  It's a crap move, but it's probably better served taking it up with EA.  Telling BioWare to knock this off isn't going to help, because I'm pretty sure that they didn't ask to have a MP reminder covering up part of their opening screen.

Roffel, that's not at all what it says. What it says is "Have you crafted new multiplayer armors yet?" There's really not much context to manipulate. What you've done is supply your own.
