Any FemQuizzies out there with little to no makeup?
Let your natural beauty shine!
Staring at Cullen's model I don't think he uses any eyeliner at all...LOL
He kind of reminds me of a hamster. I've only met two blondes in my life with brown eyes. Wonder why they keep using that color scheme in all their blonde men?
I try to get the natural look but mine either looks sick or weird. On one of the complexions I use (I think 3rd) the lips will look pink no matter if I turn lip shine and lip intensity all the way down (tried using black, white, gray, orange-ish, coral, and red as lip color).
And with eye shadow I can't get it to turn out right. For example once I used just black eye shadow (I think that is what it was set on as default) and then I turned down the intensity. It changed to a greenish-gray or something, looked weird in game so I ended up restarting just because of that. Tried making light brown and it didn't look right either.
As someone who grew up in the time of the natural look (mid-late 90's, I am 32) I still cling to it. But just can't seem to get it right in game.
Sorry I meant to say the lips will look really pink up there.
I should post this...I'm no makeup artist but being female you know what works...eventually.

I have black hair and brown eyes (I'm Asian), but I have NEVER used black eyeliner. It makes me look like a fool. I use a very deep brown instead.
With my Trevelyan I used a deep burgundy color for her eyeliner and shadow. Her eyes are green with a brownish center. I probably went to tick the eyeliner/shadow intensity off at 3. She just has very dark eyelashes. You also notice that they used this palette with Leliana's eyes. They're blue, so she has gold eyeshadow.
Is this too much?
I think the pink works.
I've no knowledge about make up. And i suffer from red-green color vision deficiency. So my only qualification for aesthetical topics is my instinct as a hobby artist.

Thank you for posting this. I swear I have stuck with the same colors for 20 years (I feel old). Creamy beige-ish for upper lids, light light brown for lower lids, and medium brown for a little in the middle. Pale blush and next to no lip color (mainly light pink-ish gloss). Dark brown mascara and never use eye liner. I need to get with the times...LOL. I have pale porcelain skin, gray/blue eyes and dark dark brown/black hair. I tend to make my characters in games the same, but the black hair in the game is driving me crazy (in my game it tends to look blue black).
I did play around in CC trying to make a new character today, with the freckles complexion and red hair with kind of blue/green eyes. So this chart will be helpful, thanks again. ![]()

I'm not as blonde as I once was but I used to be tow-headed with really really dark brows and eyes. Is it really that unusual?

It's not so much the blonde/brown eyes that's so striking. It's also the skin complexion. Cullen in my book needs to go get some sun, he's so pale that his eyeballs almost blend in, then you've got his eyes that just make them look slightly beady. I think that's why people use eyeliner but black is no go for him if he were to ever wear it LOL
The good news is that CC's complexion set already gives your character the correct lip shade. I could make her lips more red but her hair's red, so it'll give me a monochrome scheme, which will make my character look sullen and drab.

I ticked at most 3 for eyeliner and eyeshadow (burgundy-brown shade), gave her full eyelashes, no blush, ticked 2-3 for lip shine.
And no surprise, she looks best in green.
I wanted to just quick comment that the above is very accurate. I actually am a professional makeup artist. (Previously for Sephora, though now I'm just freelance)I should post this...I'm no makeup artist but being female you know what works...eventually.

Yep. Here are two of my Lavellans with no makeup (ok, the second one has some eyeliner to accentuate her eyelashes but it's barely noticeable under the vallaslin
). I too like to give them the "natural beauty" look.
Rhiannon Lavellan, mage:

Aderyn Lavellan, rogue:

My Cadash. I miscounted the slider position for eye color when I intended for her to have dark brown eyes, but not a deal breaker. (At least they're still brown!) The scars reflect her violent Carta background (bodyguard, escorted caravans, ambushed by rivals, etc). I passed on the tattoo because House Cadash had been exiled for generations and she was obviously born on the surface. Merchants who visit Orzammar use temporary tattoos that they wipe away when they leave so I didn't see a real need to use a face brand for her.

I'm not big on really heavy makeup in such games. And I definitely don't see a Dalish elf wearing much if any. So heres my Dalish Inquisitor.
Even though I'm pretty sure I turned the Eyeshadow slider all the way down. It still looks like I have some under certain lighting conditions. But I can't complain. Same goes for the eyelashes/eyebrows. Why can't I have brown with brown hair. T_T

I prefer neutral to no makeup, but I do think they have to have something to look healthy- sort of like stage makeup. It's really hard to get matte/ neutral colors in those makeup sliders. Or maybe I'm just bad at it. But I tried. A little bit of color around the eyes and turning down the lip shine (way down) is my main thing. I'd be interested to read others' techniques.

For my elf, she has darker coloring, so I did use some more eyeliner and a matte brown eyeshadow- also because elven eyes are supposed to stand out and especially with the vallaslin, they can get lost. I think of it as kohl like has always been used in the Middle East and even on Viking warriors.

Here are my 'natural' Inquisitors. ![]()
Both have no lipstick/gloss even though Sídhil (the elf) looks like she ate pink grease for some reasons
. Only Azazael (the human) has a tiny bit of eyeliner, Sídhil has none.

I try to take as much makeup off as possible - just a little eyeliner left on these gals I think.

I usually try to pick red/brownish colors for the eyeshadow and eyeliner. In-game the colors really wash out, like black eyeliner becomes cool greyish tone that doesn't really match all skin types. And red lips seems more pink.
Colors like below, big images:

This is the most natural look I used on a character so far.
I do like makeup on my characters, but I wear eye makeup myself. Like Mireisen mentioned about Cullen, I too have blonde hair/fair skin/brown eyes and quite big eyes, my face looks naked without something more going on than just pale skin and suddenly dark eyes (•.•)/ beady.
Not a big fan of makeup in real life or in games, so here are my cutie pies.

I've found that my females look better without eye liner, eye shadow, lipstick, etc, but maybe 3-4 shades of subtle blush, though this one uses none.
I think most people are choosing the thick mascara eyelashes for females though.
If anything, I think a lot of makeup draws attention away, to the detriment of the facial features.
