I love both female voices! They're really great. The deep american one suits most of my characters more because I tend to make stronger characters with whom I don't feel a high pitched noble sounding voice is appropriate. I have a couple with the other voice though and it's lovely. ![]()

Amen, I am so in love with the british female voice. When I first heard voice samples in the E3 demo I was unsure, but man... she's great. :') And the american female voice is also really cool, even if I haven't had a chance to play as her yet!

Alix did a great job. It is the ONLY voice that I don't find dopey.

I think Alix nailed it. I'm now doing a Jon Curry run and he's great too.

Which one do you mean?
The American one from Saints Row is pretty good.
The British one makes me want to vomit. Some of the worst voice acting I've ever heard...
She was good in ME3, it's a shame
Yeah, she was GOOD as Traynor. I don't know what happened... either she really lacks a broader range in tone of voice or they made her speak like a language teacher on purpose. Every line is spoken so... deliberately clear, slow and smooth. Traynor was way more quirky. Why isn't the inquisitor like that when I select the cheeky middle answer? There is something very unnatural about how she speaks to me.

That's the sad thing even in the Mass Effect Bioware manages to get better female actress than they do male for their "main characters". Mark Meer was nowhere near as good as his female predecessor. She had the right tone, command and lead in her voice.
The same here in Inquisition, both female actresses, are leagues above their male counterparts in term of voice acting skill. I like both English and American of the female.
What they failed to manage is the English male is nice and soft spoken, which I like. The American voice is to deep and only fits Qunari and Dwarves. Where's a soft spoken American accent for men?

I loved the female British voice for my human femquiz, but now I am playing a dalish femquiz and the same voice does not work so well with her. I don't know, perhaps because all the other Dalish have a Welsh accent?
I tried out a Dwarven femquiz (will continue her later) and the American voice actress puts a very different spin on the Ink, more straightforward, aggressive. It's interesting.
Have not tried any of the males yet.

I love the british accent of the female voice actress, but to me she really sounds like she's completely focusing on the accent and not on the acting part. It sounds flat and lifeless as if she's reading her lines aloud without knowing the context. It's a shame because her voice is really pretty.

Yes, this!
Pretty but dull performance. If the male voice actors are worse than this, I'll be sad panda. Then again, nothing can be worse than the emotional flatline that was male Shepard...

The American VA is pretty good in terms of emotions -- I usually pick the troll/rough lines for my dwarf, and she's selling them well without going overboard.Maybe the American voice is better... I'll play male though in my next playthrough. Perhaps this time the male voice acting is best. :/

I really disliked the American VA but I've done a full 180. Her as a serious elf in charge who sometimes cracks wise... man. I don't want to beat the game because I like her so much. ![]()
She just sounds so calm and in charge.

But Bioware, please, for the next installment give us Ali Hillis (Liara T'Soni, Scout Harding) as an option for the main protagonist ![]()

Voicing the PC is a lot of work. Alix Wilton Regan basicly lived near the recording studio for almost a year. I doubt Ali is availabe for such large time period.
I think Alix did a great job as Quizzy. She has such a lovely voice.

I only played with the male British VA ,and even if sometimes he's not super mega great , ...most of the time I was happy.
Actually a couple of time , I was surprised because he really sounded good , usually when doing some humorous reply .
The only time he made me cringe was when you made alliance with the mages and later with the wardens , he started yelling and erf..didn't work.
I watched the female british Inquisitor on youtube , and I don't like her at ALL.
She sounds like she's bored most of the time.
I think it just kills the Sera romance when I watched it , Sera is bouncing off the wall with energy and the Inquisitor is just :..........................snorefest.She sounds like a mom or something.

I like all of them. =/
When used with the right face/body type. =/
I tried the north american male voice on a human and all I could think was "Dude stop trying to be Batman, you're not Batman." Works fine for Qunari and Dwarf tho. But I like the male British voice, I think he gets just the right amount of earnestness AND wit. My male champion inquisitor believes in doing the right thing, and also being kinda cocky about it, and the voice nails it for me.
I think the british female is good for playing a reserved Inquisitor, works great for my lore-obsessed Dalish.

AWR did an excellent job voicing femquisitor just like she did a wonderful job voicing Samantha.
Haven't used Somalee's voice yet. I might for my next playthrough

I quite like Alix Wilton's voice for my elven archer inquisitor. Here she is, demonstrating her voice acting method:
