I was going to roll up an Inguysitor just to romance Dorian and Cassandra, but after getting to the character creation’s beard section I decided it would be more merciful to let Corypheus and his demons rule over Thedas.

 

What IS this… thing? Gaps? Dyed noodles glued to his face?

 

 

 

Mind you, the game actually does allow you to have facial hair made of, you know, hair, but it comes with mandatory stubble of different color—which I guess is understandable since it grows out of his upper lip rather than the skin above it. So you can either have clean shaven noodle face—understandable, they didn’t have gorilla glue—or a sleazy lazy bum with actual human hair.

 

 

 

This is seriously even worse than the hair. I can’t even.

I'm not entirely sure how they did it, either. It actually looks worse than facial hair in DAO or DA2.

It's pretty bad. How they managed to make it look worse than in either of the previous games is a mystery.

Beards suck and some look like a drawn stubble only worse. Like long lines on the jaw area. And some are patchy and look like glued pubic hair.

Funny thing tho. Was messing with the CC menu trying to figure the logic behind it all and i notice that changing the nose type changes the beard's shape. So if you notice your beard not connecting with your face try changing your nose type! It will still look bad and wìll probably never be fully conected to your face but... as the guys who were responsible for making the CC and all its options say: "meh..f*ck it. "

In the bottom picture, it looks like the mustache is attached too low over the lip. Like some little kid slapped it on there...at least the kid got it on straight.

Bioware has never, EVER, in their whole history of making games, been able to create good looking hair of any kind.

The top picture far right: Is that beard floating in mid air?? They had a detached feel to them, but to actually be detached...

For once, I agree with you.  This is pretty damned bad.  Every time I've seen one of pictures of some of the facial hair, it looks worse.

On top of crummy facial hair, they did a great job of making that guy look greasy.

I never thought I'd say this, but it MIGHT not look so bad if the facial design wasn't so good. Look at that face. There is so much detail in in it that it almost looks real. Then they just taped on a phony looking beard and hair style so it looks like someone photoshopped cartoon hair onto a person's picture.

I couldn’t do it. It was horrible.  I had to make a *shudder* barefaced Inguysitor and I’m not sure I’ll be able to survive long enough to flirt with Cass. Or Dorian.

It looks ok with a properly proportioned face, of course it looks dumb on that guy lol. Don't knock the handlebar.

A proper beard for a gentleman. If only Bioware would actually reference real beards and facial hair instead of imagining what they think a beard might look like.  I'm assuming the majority of the staff shaves and thus we have DA:I beards.

Funniest post ever. The hair in DA:I is shockingly bad. In a game so beautiful, to have this artistic interpretation present in the game is ludicrous and whoever modelled it should hang their heads in shame.

Have you seen facial hairs on old gen? It's not pretty, facial hair is practically unusable.
