Why does my main character slouch? Was this intentional?

Ah.. yes, the gorilla walk. Unfortunate.. really.
How it got past QA and approved by the producers is a mystery, wrapped in an enigma. Or, to save money/time, the animators were told to copy/paste from previous game(s).
This game has so much potential. Marred by circumstance?

i'm pretty sure in my entire gameplay all women models slouched like that ( except dwarven ). i thought that's how they did them. i actually didn't notice it. i mean i saw it at first, thought it was funny and just forgot about it.

Solved it! The Inquisitor's pelvis is enlarged much beyond that of a normal biped, the resultant of which are sloped thoracic vertebrae. What's most interesting are the frontal limbs. In response they awkwardly shuffle to the side favoring forward display - occasionally contorting in a horrifying otherworldly fashion.
Here's a diagram displaying the comparison. The Inquisitor to the left and a normal biped hominid on the right.

Yeah! Notice it when made a female character (human) yesterday, she was very hunched over during cutscenes. Almost has if she was bored with everything.
I never saw that with my male character, infact he always had a very confident posture.

On the Qunari female the posture is very noticeable and looks askew and like she is always injured. ANd yes it bothers me when she sits like a guy and just makes me want to scream at her to sit up properly and not sit like a ****** advertising her wares.

I don't see it with my male human protagonist, or at least not very noticeable.

It happens on males, but just on some cutscene movements.

They are only "wares" if you think of them that way.

@Hwlrmnky I think it looks like wares. They are sitting like a Samurai. It is still a female. Females do not 99.5 percent of the time sit like that. The whole posture of the females is off. I have said that since release day the Qunari females especially look like monkey men with breasts attached. It is immersion busting.

One of the many re-used animations, unfortunately. Saw it many times on Cassandra.

The funny thing, in the pictures of the character in the screenshots in this thread, it looks totally normal to me. But when I'm playing I notice it too. Especially on a ladylike Dalish mage or something. (I think it works fine for my Qunari lady. And the one in this thread just looks like a tomboy rogue.)

Not bad?
First thing I noticed was the slouch. Unnatural, I say!
Motion capture
In motion capture sessions, you record only the movements of the actor, not his or her visual appearance. This animation data is mapped to a 3D model so that the model performs the same actions as the actor. When playing, this is the actor's captured movements. They look natural on the screen.
Cut Scene Animation
Maybe they should have used MoCap.
