I'm re reading some classic David Gemmell, just finished Legend, now onto King beyond the gate. Fantasy at it's best!
He was my favourite writer. He spoiled fantasy for me by making other writers seem entirely mediocre in comparison. I'm re-reading White Wolf at the moment.

Right now I'm reading Mad Maria. It's a quasi-historic novel about the building of a railroad in Brazil, and the intrigues and drama between the characters involved.

Stealing Light - Gary Gibson, & just finshed 'Night Watch' 'Day Watch' & 'The Last Watch' - Sergei Lukyanenko
Cool, what did you think of them?
I'm currently reading Leviathan by Scott Westerfield
A alternate history version of WW1 based around the fictional son of Archduke Franz Ferdinand and Europe is divided into two Factions: The Clankers, countires with highly develop steam technology and machines and The Darwinists, countries following the theories of Charles Darwin with mutated and genetically altered animals.
It's quite a light read and the detailed pencil illustrations are quite beautiful.

The 'Watch' series are interesting & quite fun takes on the good/evil light/dark concepts with some twists, but the 'Last Watch' is weaker and althought it ends the sequence it is obvoiusly a cash in on the success of the first 2 after the films were released outside Russia.
Also just finished 'Altered Carbon' - Richard K. Morgan, reminded me alot of 'Deus Ex' ...

AND
The Complete Hammer's Slammers by David Drake. I like to have a short story collection on hand for when I feel like reading something different from what I am currently on. Quality military sci-fi is always cool.
