Is it just me or Yahtzee's losing his touch? His opinion videos used to be hilarious.
Anyways, here's the video in question.
LMAO, brilliant!
Maybe I wasn't paying attention past the first sentence.
Prothean beacon touch = Fade mark. You didn't ask for the magical shot, but you've got it and are rolling with the importance.
The association is fairly solid, except for the fact that the Inquisitor has far more freedom of delegation.
Kinda the same with the Well of Sorrows
Kinda the same with the Well of Sorrows
You can shove the responsibility of the Well of Sorrows to Morrigan tho.
losing his touch? did he ever had it? ALL of zero punctuation videos are the borefest in fast forwarded voice that makes me want to punch the guy behind the childish drawings and lame american jokes in the nuts

Then do better ?
Also that's his style.
In the end even a none english native speaker like me was able to understand his point of view.
Of course it would've been better for me if he slowed down but the facts he said are true.
I totally laughed at the horse part where indeed, you've to stop and get down of your horse so often while you gather that it make the horse pointless.
We should be able to gather from the horse (I don't care about RP at this point when I'm playing a gardener/miner 80% of time) OR that the missions/garden gather more than 3 herbs so we wouldn't have to do it ourselves, lol.
So we could also say Frodo, King Arthur, Luke Skywalker, Nick Bottom...Prothean beacon touch = Fade mark. You didn't ask for the magical shot, but you've got it and are rolling with the importance.

In a general sense, sort of, but both the Prothean beacon and the Fade mark physically change the wearer and make them unable to shirk the responsibilities. They're one in a million.
And the ring changed Frodo for good.

How did the prothean beacon change Shepard physically? He/she looks no different before or after the incident (unless you change their face in the character creator, obviously), and it didn't change anything in their genetic structure.
The Inquisitor is totally fantasy commander Shepard. I didn't need Yahtzee to tell me that (though I'm tickled it's not just me).
It's more than the "forever changed by alien tech/magic and now thou must be a hero"
-The flat, even tone to most of your dialogue. Shepard was a soldier, so it's kinda excusable for him to be disciplined and detached. The Inquisitor is not, not in any background. The inquistor's voice made me long for the days of Snarky Hawke.
-The ugly Jammies in Skyhold with the high, military collar that are like the ugly jacket with the high military collar you wear on the Normandy.
-the "Missions" you access and accept from the Big Map and "warp" directly to with your party, that are not accessible after you finish the mission.
the list goes on. In the end I'm torn. It was awesome playing a Tal-Vashoth. It may have been more awesome playing as Hawke the Inquisitor. Or go back to DAO with a silent protagainist you can infer a wildly different personality from.
The Inquisitor as a character is kinda... meh.
Except the beacon just gave some random bits of prophetic info and the rift mark actually does something.
So there's that.
The clip though I found hilarious, especially the bit where he mentioned how you can send your army out and only get 2 rocks and a necklace of daisies in return. Sounds just about right. *Glares fiercely at Cullen*
I just can't take any one's opinion seriously when they say a role playing game shouldn't have talking to npc's in it.

Nobody worships Shepard for touching the beacon, so there's that.
But now that I think about it, Shepard got all the bad parts of being "chosen one" (authorities hated him, had to be resurrected, sacrificed himself), while the Inqui only saw the good parts (actual superpowers, adoration of the masses, sweet title, a nifty throne)
Nobody worships Shepard for touching the beacon, so there's that.
...well... there is Conrad Verner.
Maybe the Inquisitor actually failed and everything happened in his head....you know...sort of INDOCTRINATED by Corypheus...
As for Yahtzees review, not his best work, but not bad.
It's funny how he can enrage some people though ![]()
...well... there is Conrad Verner.
Who we promptly sucker punch in ME2. XD
... ok I really didn't do that, but the thought is still glorious.
Come to think of... we don't have a Conrad Verner equivalent in the Dragon Age games, right?
