Who else thinks Sera snorts lyrium dust. If you have her as a follower and listen to the comments she makes, like with Bull "Let me ride on you during combat". Yeah I paraphrased that some. Or the whole stealing breeches.

As far as the comments she makes about riding The Iron Bull into combat....you wouldn't? I mean, look at him. He also jokes about doing a Colossus-Wolverine wind-up throwing combo. Yes, please!
I don't think Sera is on drugs...I think she's just naturally stupid. Don't giver her a free pass like that.

The stealing of the breeches was just stupid....the enemies were clearly wearing pants so how did stealing their clothes hinder their combat effectiveness? >_>
Might want to play that mission again. The enemies are clearly not wearing pants.

LOL yeah they are 100% 'not' wearing pants. They are pantless, they even have there tabards (or whatever the cloth thingy is) wrapped up under their junk to cover up there dangly bits. But they are 100% pantless.

She's just the typical Whedon style quirky manic pixie girl. A tired cliche that so many writers still think is cute and/or interesting.

No way. She's not a trope. Did you open up her past stories? What happened to her? I've romanced Sera because her unshakeable empathy of the down trodden and forgotten is a breath of fresh air in fantasy universes where we almost always focus on the big bad, the big rich, or the leaders of good.

Well said. A genuine working-class hero is long overdue in Thedas, and I romanced her as a way of keeping my Inquisitor grounded. We're saving the world in this game, but who are we saving it for?

I was more than happy to betray female William Wallace and become King Chunky the Bruce of Thedas.
Or at least that's pretty much how it went down, I think.

I get the impression, when she's in my party, that she's not pretentious. I've had her with Solas in the party, a sort of elf synergy, and she basically blows him off when he goes all elven. It's almost as though she doesn't consider herself elvish, but rather just a person. Her interactions with both Cassandra and Blackwall are kinda funny too. She's alot more complex than what she appears to be on the outside.

It's not 'almost as though' its exactly that, she even says so. She doesn't like it being brought up that she's an elf because she doesn't think of herself as one. She also doesn't like Dalish because they are all in the past, worrying about what happened thousand yrs ago and not now

Going to echo some of the other comments. Have you opened up her conversation about her past? Her situation. She's not dumb or stupid. Young and naive, sure, but there is a difference between being naive and stupid. Naive and stupid are two different things. She doesn't fully understand her place in the world or where she belongs. She wants to do good for the people, isn't sure how to do it and hasn't grown up enough to understand this either. She needs guidance and someone who is willing to help her grow as a person, that would be the Inquisitor and the people she surrounds herself around. Sera and Blackwall get along and I'm sure he is helping along her growth as well.

I want Sera to be even more of a "working-class East-Ender" than she is. (I keep hoping she'll break into rhyming slang, but so far I've been disappointed on that score.)
Honestly, of all the companions she and Cole are the only ones I want to learn more about. I got plenty of Cassandra from "Dawn of the Seeker", and both Bull and Blackie seem too boringly laid back for me. Dorian has potential but he's almost too slick. Not to mention that so is his hair/mustache. Solas replaces Anders as the "Broody Mage", which got tiresome in a hurry the first time. And Madame de Stick-up-her-Butt can kiss mine!
(And Varric?!? My poor Varric! What happened to you when the Breach opened? Why have you become a mere shadow of yourself?)

My elven lass was too busy getting into her eastenders to care. Erm, seriously Sera does have some interesting points-of-view to the elven culture.

Dorian is brilliant! One of the biggest positive surprises in the game.

Well, to start, she said she was a kid in Denerim during the blight, so she's in her early twenties at most. People that age are almost obligated to make stupid decisions. She's just a bit of an extreme case.

Sera's heart is in the right place and I love what she stands for.
But Sera herself was really grating. I wanted to like her. I really did. But I just couldn't.
Though, definitely can't accuse her of not having a unique personality.

Is a shame so many people detest her for not being a traditional "woe is me" elf, how dare she see herself as a person 1st ![]()
