I've posted before regarding an issue with gaining enough approval with Dorian to unlock his personal quest. At the time I noticed a very clear hard limit to his approval that was below the threshold needed to get his quest, making it impossible to get. This was extremely frustrating as you can imagine when I try so hard to get to know this character and I'm simply unable to; I'm left with little more then an empty conversation node in the corner of the library.
At the time people were mentioning they had experienced similar problems with some of the other companions. Dorian was the only I personally was seeing this problem with. Of course this isn't a consistent bug, other players have shown absolutely no problem getting Dorian to talk to them, particularly those playing his romance.
Since then, the most recent patch has come out and I started a brand new play through with a decidedly different character to play with. Thus far I'm still having the same problem with Dorian. If anything it's worse now. Certain dialog options in his initial conversation that had previously given me clear approval gains now have no approval change what so ever. Indeed, Dorian acts as if he's convinced that I hate his guts since I flat out have not been able to get any approval. This despite spending the entire game doing everything I could to curry his favor, picking every possible option that could possibly give me any approval, even when it made no sense for the character I was playing.
I really am all out of patience with this bug, to be honest, and I'm beyond frustrated that regardless of my actions I have yet to experience ANY meaningful Dorian content.
At this point I literally want just a console hack or some hard coded way to force Dorian's approval just so get some damn content out of him FINALLY.
