So picture the scenario.
- Alice has finished her swimming session.
- She goes to one of those unisex changing rooms (yes the UK is a strange country. Some swimming pools come with unisex changing rooms).
- When there she is in a bit of a daze since due to her hectic routine of going to work, doing most of the house work and still squeezing her many hobbies into the mix.
- She accidently confuses her jeans with an almost identical pair of jeans. Joshua's pair of jeans.
It's okay. Joshua is wearing Alice's pair of jeans and is none the wiser. Good thing neither person had valuables in their jeans...
- Now Alice and Robert have been trying for a child for the last 4 years but to no avail. However thanks to Alice wearing the wrong jeans she is now pregnant. Understandably Alice and Robert are having a row since they hadn't had sex that particular month.
- You know the drill, there is a DNA test and wouldn't you know it, turns out that child was that of Joshua.
- When Robert hires a private detective, the conclusion the detective came to was that Alice was wearing the wrong jeans, leading to their child having the wrong genes.

So here is the question. In your mind, is Joshua morally responsible for the upbringing of the accidental child?
(This is not a legal question. This is simply a moral one).
